So glad that a lot of you managed to get their beloved ones! Thank you for sharing your pictures, PrincessBecky, your Elsa is stunning! Now i am even more excited. Way better than the stock photos.

LMAO, I had the exact same reaction. But it's true: to each their own.

Sometimes I think we get excited when something's shiny and new. When I first saw 2014 Elsa, I thought she might be nicer than 2013 Elsa. I got her home and still thought it for a while. Now that enough time has passed, I realize I like 2013 Elsa the best.

However, not everyone was fortunate enough to be into these dolls when she came out, so I think there's a BIT of settling going on here, which is a good thing. I don't think ANY doll should go for as much as 2013 Elsa. I'd delete her from my mind if I didn't have her. Just like I often forget Alice and Snow White exist. And if they ever released a new version of either of them, I'd convince myself they were better.
 

I heard the rumor, too, that Hans will be a surprise release with Cinderella, but who knows? Rumors are rumors...

Florida Mall was peaceful, but EARLY. I got there before 6 AM, and was like 15th or so? Fortunately, there was 19/19/14.

I like the dolls better in person, but like most people, I'm concerned a little about overall quality and design. Disney has a habit of milking popular products, but lowering the quality with each new release, and, to me, that's starting to show here...just a little.

And that's my review in 5 sentences or less. Now, to sleep!
 
Why would they release these Frozen dolls?

Not saying I believe the rumors (though I HOPE they're true!). I'm just saying we can't rule out anything when it comes to Frozen.
 
I pray there is no Hans. I literally have just enough money to buy both Cinderella dolls (with a whole $15 to spare!! Wowie!). I don't think Disney has done a true surprise release since what, Gothel? (and the Fairies, sort of?). I think the market is too vast now, that if they did that, there would be uproar. People expect some kind of warning, at least a week in advance, of these sort of things.
 
i am asking myself that too but at the same time, why wouldn't they?

they are already tying frozen with cinderella because of the frozen fever short.
and if they released hans with the limited frozen fever dolls which are most likely the next thing in the line, that would be sort of out of place.
if he was released now, that would be too crowded of a release. so i am guessing a cooling off week?
plus, he would be a "surprise" release.
 
I kind of regret not trying for Anna at all, especially since that is one of my favourite outfits on her and the detailing on the skirt and boots is lovely..but after seeing comparison pics of the previous sets, I'm sort of glad I didn't cave in even though I don't own any Frozen dolls - I think her messy braids and shiny skin would've bugged me - the skin mainly is just not Anna. I do find it frustrating they're making so many Frozen LE's and not many sets of other characters but I do think the Frozen Fever dolls, if they make them, will be beautiful and definitely be more worthwhile for me and I'll likely be able to afford both Anna and Elsa then.

I'm glad to those who got them, though, especially if these are their first Frozen dolls, I know how hard it was to try and purchase the previous sets. Sorry if I sounded like I was bashing them.
 
If they planned on Hans, I think he'd come out with the Frozen dolls. It's kinda unlikely, since there is only a few days between the release of the Frozen dolls and the Cinderella dolls. I don't really know why they'd keep him for Cinderella's release….
The dolls in their boxes were not really an improvement IMO. The boxes seemed especially square and I wasn't big on the designs. This release overall has been exceptionally disappointing. And that's not even commenting on Cinderella! I was really looking forward to her and hoping for a mix of live action and animated like Alice but instead she's just a sized-up classic doll. I'm really torn as to whether I should get her >_<
Anyway, despite that I'm no fan of this release, I'm glad everyone who wanted them got them
Do they come out online tonight?
 
At least if the rumor regarding Hans were true, the same person who informed Disney Limited Edition Dolls also said Disney would be making the announcement early next week so it wouldn't be a true surprise release where they just spring it on people on the 13th along with the cinderella dolls. I guess we'll find out in a week.

On a separate note, got to my mall at around 6am and was #6 and the line stayed the same until an hour prior to store opening. By the time store opened, I think just enough people lined up for the exact amount of dolls available except they were short on Kristoff (Elsa/Anna 15-16 and Kristoff 9-10). Overall a much less hectic release than I had anticipated. And the dolls do love much better in person and happy I am finally able to get my hands on Frozen dolls at retail and not costing all four limbs plus some organs.:wiggle:
 
I know this is unrelated to the topic of hand, given that it's release day, but I was hoping for a suggestion. I'm a huge Sleeping Beauty nut. I have over 25 dolls related to SB, 5 of them LE.

This is just my LE portion, not including my Tonner Briar Rose. I'm wanting to complete my collection. I don't know whether to get the Designer Fairytale dolls, Blue Aurora, or Maleficent. I'd like the designer to complete that collection, but I'm sickly in love with the 17" dolls. I like Blue Aurora more, but since I already have her in pink, I feel like it'd be silly to get her without getting Maleficent first. What do you recommend? Which would be the best price?

(hyperventilates) I get paid before the 13th, THANK GOD, but I am not emotionally ready for this?? And why with Cinderella? I'd have to buy him online because I have class at 10 on friday, too... jesssus.

I'd be more skeptical but ... Disney is crazy enough that this would make sense to them? not to mention it'd explain RDC's source getting the description but him not being announced. Oh god. I can't live like this.
 
Frozen Fever is playing with Cinderella, but I wouldn't think Hans is in it. I'd think he'd only be mentioned in passing if at all. Or is he the antagonist trying to ruin Anna's birthday? >_< Admittedly it is Frozen,and Hans would probably sell if released with Cinderella, but I would expect him more when/if they did a release of Frozen Fever Anna and Elsa, and a signature outfit Kristoff. ^_^

Anna and Elsa do have a pearl sheen, not only like the fairies, but also like the Harrods Elsa as well. So if your a deboxer, you can switch outfits and give Elsa a snowy glow. XP

My question is why shouldn't they release him with LE Cindy next week? It's the same day Frozen Fever premieres too and we all know how adament Disney has been about milking Frozen lately so why not? Plus, it's Friday the 13th so there could be some correlation there what with Hans being a villain and all.

Wasn't it a thing to let the villains loose in the Parks on Friday the 13th? ^^;

Well to be fair RDC did retract and apologize recently that Hans LE doll will not be released so.. could just be a rumor. :\

They did but they apologized because Hans wasn't being released with this Frozen set like they had initially thought. They also said they would update their page if a Hans ended up being released. Nonetheless, they heard of a Hans LE from some source and RDC hasn't failed us up to this supposed Hans release so there's still a chance they could on point even with this release now.
 
I want a hans so bad! ill be at the store for cindy. Im kinda unhappy the wedding one is online only. That's where the real competition is.
 
For Hans being in Frozen Fever, i'll just say I know the answer to that without saying if it's a yes or no... Spoilers are always available if you look for them ;D

Friday the 13th would be REALLY appropriate, actually, with him being the 13th prince.
 
the more i think about it, the more likely i think it might happen.

when else would they release hans? with this wave? but then people might say that they are whipping out LE dolls too much. but then some people want a hans doll so a surprise release would be a big "here you goooo".

i am reading too much into this but the "villians" of the two movies a little similar? (not talking about the stepmother...)
*i hope this is not a spoiler. it is mentioned in the trailer so not really a surprise.

it is precisely because hans doesn't seem to be the villian of the frozen fever short that it would not make sense to release him with those dolls. but then it wouldn't make sense to release hans before kristoff so thus, hans is in the perfect middle ground.

in any case, we won't really know until next week.

It would make more sense to release an LE Hans with the next set of Frozen, though, not with Cinderella (unless we're getting even more Frozen dolls sooner than we think, though I highly doubt that). I'm thinking that they'll release the Frozen Fever LE Anna and Elsa, alongside another version of Kristoff and then possibly the rumored Hans next Fall when Aladdin comes out, in order to make up for not releasing another Designer collection.
 
To be honest, I almost don't want to see a Hans doll simply because he's such a jerk… :lol: But I hope he comes out for all the people who do want him. Better Hans than Anna and Elsa in bedazzled funeral clothes haha.
I still don't understand why they didn't release the Frozen Fever dolls alongside the premiere. If they go for fall when Cinderella is released on DVD, it's okay I guess, but I'm still just wondering who's in charge of these decisions. Doesn't make sense to me :/

I will be so angry and happy and sad and excited if they actually release Hans. I would be angry/sad because of how much money and time this month alone has gone to disney dolls. And happy because Disney tends to ignore Hans when it comes to merchandise... And he'd make an amazing doll.

still torn on Cinderella wedding doll, but I'm starting to think ill just try for the blue dress and now Hans if he's released...
