Thanks! I do have fawn and that makes sense she would not be purple. And yes, the window gives even more reason for her purple shade....I'll conclude that was disney magic in the details

Someone on Facebook posted that their box arrived damaged and there was a scratch-like line across Elsa's forehead. And another person posted that there was a hole in their Elsa's dress. :shock: Disney quality control has always been terrible...luckily the worst thing that has ever happened doll-wise (for me) was my 17" Ariel had a scratch on the clear front part of her box.

One of my dolls is supposed to arrive any time now, and the other one is supposed to arrive tomorrow. It's weird because they were both shipped at the same time, but one was supposedly delayed because of weather and the other one wasn't.


I have been really undecided on the Cinderella dolls. I keep going back and forth about purchasing them. Their dresses look beautiful, but I am not completely sold on her face...and I'm also not really into collecting live-action dolls, I just feel like they aren't as iconic or have lasting popularity like the animated characters. Also if I am going to spend $500 I feel like I should put that money towards a 17" Snow White (the only 17" doll I am missing that I want).

Another thing that might make it or break it for me is the box. I don't de-box, and if Cinderella's box doesn't look like the other 17" doll's boxes I probably won't get her, because I feel like she would be a part of a "different" collection. No offense to the Europe people but I am glad their release is first so I can find out what the box looks like and more details about Wedding Cinderella.


There is also a rumor going around Facebook and tumblr about a "surprise" Cinderella doll coming out tonight that is two words...so it could be Lady Tremaine, Prince Charming, or Fairy Godmother...if it is true I won't be getting any of them but I am curious if it's true or not.
 

My box wasn't badly damaged, but Anna did arrive with a bit of a corner ding to her box. It doesn't bother me too much (I was just so excited to see Anna in person finally!), but my fiance suggested I contact Disney just to let them know, so hopefully in the future they will package things better - both my Anna and Elsa arrived in just the single shipping box that was the same size as the actual doll's box. I could see the corner ding on the outer brown box and was hoping it wouldn't go through to the doll's box, but it did. Oh well, I am still super excited about these dolls - they are even more beautiful in person, and I actually like the tinsel in their hair and the sheen on their faces... I wasn't sure how I'd feel about those two things, but turns out they add some extra charm and uniqueness in my eyes. Ok, I'm off to go stare at the dolls some more!

I thought the grumpy face of Cinderella in the classic versions of these dolls looked horrible when I first saw the photos, but I love the dolls in person... so I'm hoping the LE doll will be the same.

And yes, I wish they released pictures of the dolls in their boxes when they make announcements!

I think I'll probably get the live action cinderella in the summer when I have a job. I think I'll only collect the princess that I watched the most as a child, which is cinderella, sleeping beauty, Snow White, and the little mermaid. So far I only have aurora, I was debating on whether I should buy ariel, and le cinderella, and live action cinderella, or same my money and buy Snow White instead. It would be awesome to have Snow White, but I would want ariel and cinderella also. Decisions decisions.
 

It's the same time. Since we just turned our clocks forward (spring forward) for Daylight Savings Time (but UK did not), midnight occurs in CA when it's 7 a.m. in the UK.

Yes! It stinks that we have to make a super-quick decision about these dolls when they go live on the website. I don't want to spend $500 after looking at the details of a doll for two seconds then having to quickly check out before she is gone. If they gave us all of the details ahead of time many of us may not even have to stay up tonight...if I knew the box was different or the details of Wedding Cinderella weren't worth the $500 price I could just go to sleep.



Also...my Elsa just arrived and she is perfect!
 
At this point I just can't wait until the thread goes back to normal after tonight. I for one don't care if there is a Hans doll or not wasn't going to buy him anyway. For those that do if he isn't released tonight then I don't worry imam sure we will get one at some point. I am just getting so excited and anxious about the cindy release tonight I really hope I get her! Ball gown version anyway. Now if any of the rumors are true I would love a Cate Blanchett Lady Tramanie doll. Does anyone know where the links will be posted here or in the Cinderella merch thread? This is my first online LE doll release! Good luck to all my fellow collectors trying for dolls tonight especially the ones who want wedding Cindy she seems like she will be hard to get

Haha. I wouldn't be surprised if they made a funeral anna. The description on the box would be funny describing how anna is dressed in her funeral attire!
 
They are perfect!!! And SO lovely *sigh* My Anna is #3744 and my Kristoff is much lower at #497. They are much more excellent in person I think. And I really appreciate how Kristoff's box is so open looking. Does anyone else notice this? What do all you guys think of your dolls so far?

On a side note, I really think I'm going to like the LA Cinderella movie, but Blue Cindy just looks so plain imo. Compared to the other LEs and her dress in the film, I'm thinking Disney could have made her doll much more special. Like, when I first heard about her I thouht to myself how BIG and FLUFFY her dress would be, how it would certainly fill up her box!!! But, no, based on the stock photos, not so much.... I'm just so meh about trying for her tonight.

I can't wait until this release is over so my life can go back to normal. LOL. I don't want to have to wake up at 3am to check the website, or get up at 5am to wait in line at the store, or spend so much money all at once again for a good long while. Plus, I hate this pre-doll release anxiety. Seriously, I would be happy if we didn't get another doll release until October with Aladdin. It's been too much all at once.

I'm staying up tonight anyway to see if there are any surprises, but I don't know if I should get the doll online or take my chances at the store tomorrow. I prefer the instant gratification of buying in the store. I don't need to prolong this stress for another week or two waiting for delivery.
 
Also Buzz and Jessie have a child named Wozzie in the new movie. So there's going to be a family set of them. They talk back, sing, and dance. LE 2500. $1999.95.
And a clear toilet bowl with all the LE Frozen doll heads in will be released for Frozen 2! Not sure of the edition size yet
 
Seriously though.. I am kinda doubting any surprise release for tomorrow. If any, maybe Hans.. But that's a huge mess.

At this point I just expect to see the two Cinderella dolls and if there is a surprise great if not then oh well. I am just not sure where to look for the links for the dolls I wish you all good luck tonight If you are trying for Cindy! If I get her I might spring for express shipping to get her quicker!

I, too, will be trying online tonight first. I don't like doing this online, usually, but an unfortunate circumstance leading to a severely sprained toe have kind of made it necessary, lol. Can't exactly idle in line for an hour at the moment. Anyhow, good luck to all!
 
Is that true? I just want Frozen Fever Elsa and birthday anna. But, I think it is highly impossible.

The person is joking. He (or she) is adding up all the FB rumors and putting it together into one big release. It's just (so far) the two LE Cinderella dolls.
 
And a few of my own special surprise releases haha. I'm going to read conspiracy theories and play Tsum Tsum until release time.

:lol: Got it. But this 'list' seems that DS could have much to do(earn) with the 17' lines.
