Ooh! Where’d you see that? I’m gonna need that, too!

I see the pin on the Disney Store site. If they release it in the park, I will pick up 2 for the two of you (if I can). I will also try to grab them online while I'm waiting.

And here I thought 9/9 might be an easier day. That pin is going to be super popular! I think we should pool or online buying efforts for those who really want them. It absolutely enrages me that those Tigger pins that dropped today are already on eBay for $145 and people are buying them.

Hi @Pidge -

Wanted to check in and see how everything is going. You're definitely getting some great experience, and offering a tremendous service to the community. Thank you.

Thought I'd chime in on Tuesday's release. I arrived at 6:40 in the park. Went to Westward Ho to wait it out. Well, let me tell you all, at 8 a.m. it turned into a FREE FOR ALL. I was literally two rows back from the rope. Once it dropped, I've never witnessed what happened. Between the general Guests making their bee-lines to rides, and the People Running and pushing to get in line at the store, it was a nightmare.

Here is exactly what happened, once the RUSH started ( and honestly, in the past I would have been able to get in line, fairly close to the entrance) well, by the time I made it to the right side of the entrance to Frontierland, and Westward Ho, people were bunching up in groups, and a line had started down the entrance toward the castle ( all this while people were STILL rushing to get into FL in general and the line). I saw the line forming and heading/curving, so I decided I needed to turn around and get in line. Well, that was a nightmare in and of itself, because the rush IN was still happening. I have Never, Ever Experienced anything like this before at WWH. It was Seriously Dangerous. I ended up at the back of the line, towards the castle. I decided to leave and go to the Tomorrowland Pin store. The line was long there too. While I was standing there, a lady walked up, one guest ahead of me and got in line with a man. There have been far, far to many people doing this, 'saving spaces and line cutting' so I went to talk with a Lead. When I came back to and told the lady in front of me, what I did, the woman decided she'd better leave. A little later I went up to the same Lead, and asked about the inventory, considering the amount of people in line, twice. I have been down this road, far to many times over the years. They Need to keep track, and let people in line know what's going on. He was professional, and followed thru. Hence I left him a Cast Member Compliment. In the end, I was successful in getting the 2 WoA's. But all the Pooh/Tigger sets were sold out. This dang Pooh series has become, CRAZY.

In closing, I want to mention that I have written a letter to Disney, addressing: 1. my appreciation for the cm's who man this every week; how they have been able to stream line the process, gratitude for the hobby and the awesome pins that have been released. And at the same time my concern on how the popularity has increased in leaps and bounds, and their need to reassess how to go about making Pin Release Tuesday's, safer and fair. I relayed my experience with Wrist Bands being handed out, and the need for monitoring the lines for line cutters and people who save spaces, both which are wrong. I did receive a letter back from them that was Very Professional, and very encouraging. They've started handing out Wrist bands at WDW. Hopefully they will at DL too.

The Pin Hobby has BLOWN UP the last 6 months. There are more and more passes being sold, and a LOT more information being circulated thru social media, Tik Tok in particular. Don't get me wrong, that's not bad thing, it's just caused some of the Tuesday Releases to turn into the "Hunger Games" - LoL. A term a friend of mine came up with to describe WDW's releases. And honestly, in my opinion, the label describes it well.

In Closing, I felt the need to let the members here know, just how crazy Pin Release Tuesday's have become. And, I want to Applaud you @Pidge for taking on this responsibility at such a crazy time. We all greatly appreciate your efforts. And, if I can assist you from time to time, please, reach out.

Thank you so much for sharing such an insightful experience and contacting Disney about the issue. That WWH story is scary. I'm glad you were OK and successful for your efforts (yay!).

My first Tuesday pin drop was the first in May of this year. I was looking for the LATT 70th anniversary pins. I had no idea and was shocked to see the lines when I entered the park. Even comparing my experience since then, it has gotten so much worse!

It really is a problem that needs some smart people dedicated to solving it. The inventory at various stores is also an issue. I have often thought of lining up at Emporium just because I see those folks go in and out before I get into the Music Company. I don't know the acronyms yet (TMC?). When I left TMC, there were probably 20-30 people behind me and it looked like they had a lot of Windows left. That is why I was hoping to get lucky at Emporium in picking up a couple more, but they were sold out. So not everyone in that fast line got the Windows. That is also why I stick with TMC. I can typically get in and out within an hour and get the new releases (except the Pooh). I don't have time this semester to do another long line like WWH or Tomorrowland, and I know they would be out by the time I got there.

And the CMs definitely vary in their counting and updating the line. They don't consistently show you what is new while you are waiting or update you on remaining inventory.

They also have a problem with online sales. I have contacted them twice with pictures of their just-released pins being sold on eBay for a 300% markup hours after selling out. I think we all need to be reaching out to them more to address this growing problem.

I think the wristband idea is interesting. I would definitely like to know more about that. I am still so new to all this, but I was wondering if a reservation system, kind of like what they appear to do for the D23 event would work. Or maybe a subscription service where you get a preview of all the pins releasing for the month and you can reserve x number of pins. If demand exceeds supply, they go to a lottery. That would give people who can't get to the park on Tuesdays or who don't live near a park a fighting chance. I have met people in line who bought the Pooh frame, have taken days off of work to be able to get to the park for the drop, and still can't get the pins for the frame. In that case, I really think the people who buy the frame should have first pick at the pins.

I really wonder how many of those people running to WWH are looking to collect versus flipping the pins to make money. It is really frustrating to me that people can't get pins for their beloved collections because of reseller greed. I do these pick-ups to push back against that injustice a tiny bit.

All good points.

And yes, I run into guests that just want the Pooh series for Their Frames too. Just to get shut out. It's sad.

Unfortunately, the Reseller issue has been around a Long Time. Supply and Demand.

I would like to see them re-establish wrist bands, at the very least. Point of reference for this, during the 60th Diamond pins (if I'm remembering the series correctly) they gave out WB's to people, by location they wanted to purchase at. Back then it was the little green men store; WWH; etc. The Guest had until 11:30 or so to purchase their pins. After that the remainder of any inventory was open to all. I remember, it worked out reasonably well.

That was 10 years ago, and yes, a lot has changed over the years.

Plus, DL isn't staffed as well as it was then.

Anyway, what I have shared, is to make us all more aware of how much of a challenge doing pick ups on Tuesdays have become, and that's at DL, WDW, and Disney store as well.

Thanks for letting me share my opinion and experience.

Hiiii! Are any of the blue bags still available? I am international so understand shipping would be higher .
Also - silly question but is wave 2 already out just all sold out? I’ve been collecting for years but in May did our first US trip and my wife loved the mystery packs

Hello,

I currently have 4 blue bags. They are 2025 wave A. Wave B hasn't dropped in the silver packs yet (or at least as of last Thursday). When they do drop, they will probably sell out very quickly, but they do get restocked...eventually.

I have no objection to shipping internationally, but you may also have to pay to pick up the package due to tariffs (depending on where you are). I won't even pretend to know what that will run you.

Great, I’ll take all four please . I’ll PM you.
