:wavey: Hey dear ones. I'll be going to the pin trading night the end of this month in Paris. Taking requests for pins or if people are generally interested in what the OE racks are looking like these days.

oh, and can someone tell me where I can find the pin board?

Going to submit my boyfriend to pin hunting torture with me, hehe. A couple days of Freezing our tails off for the love of Disney is exactly what this heart desires for valentines!
 
Have you been to one of these nights before?

I'm offered to go aswell, but I have no idea what it's really about.
When does it actually start? Can you get a wristband and then leave? Because I also wanna go to some shops in the park, before or after the event.
Not planning on staying too long at the event, I just wanna see what it's all about really, lol.
 
Its supposed to start at 18h, I'm going to get there a bit early (like an hour I think) in case theres a lot of people. We're going the day before and staying the night of the 30th so I'm going to pop by the Hotel where its being held at to ask what the proper protocol is. I have no idea what the PTN pins will be but I'm hoping for Frozen (one can dream, hey), and I think they change the design year by year, no? In any case I'm not sure how many they'll let us buy, but my boyfriend will be there with me in case of a wristband limited buying situation. Also going to go with a bunch of traders and spend my 2 days trying to hunt down some of the new CM lanyard pins!

This will be our first 'vacation' style visit, it's our way to celebrate valentines not too far from my home as our relationship is long distance. He's already been warned, (well he knows me well enough to know too) that pins will take up a bit of time in between the rides, restaurants and pools, hehe.
 
Oooo I need some of the OE Princess Crest pins if you can help us with that it would be great. I don't know if they are still available. These are the ones I need.

Fordracing31 I have a Belle (off the card) already, last couple times I was there she was sold out. We may be able to work something out for her but I can see what they've got now. It's a pain with Paris because it's so hit or miss with the pins. Such a bummer! It seems LE or not less frequently or not at all restocked. I had a list of recent OE pins I wanted for myself and lo and behold nowhere to be found. I'm hoping it had something to do with the fact that the last two times it was around Halloween and Christmas. Princesses are pretty big everywhere though so I can keep my eyes peeled! What I can do anyway is look thursday and then maybe take orders that night and buy Friday. :) My hotel has Wifi!

You'll have to bear with me kids, I've never done this before so I'm not 100% sure how to do it, haha. I've been to the park a few times on my own but knowing what people are looking for is helpful. Help me help you!

Elysandrra- he's got no choice in the matter, he's a transportation obsessive anyway for his work so we can be happily seated on out ipads next to one another, pins for me and boats or cars for him. Geeks geek alike ;).

Cjvandever- I'm not sure how many sets we can get but I will definitely tell my boyfriend he has to help you get one, haha. We can chat about it if you want though PM :)

It's usually just 2 round pins, but I'm taking mostly just requests for OEs from the park. I won't be there for a release, and they've said nothing of who will be on the pins (I don't think we know until just right before, maybe the release at the trading post the week before may give a clue?)

As of right now there's only one Jessica OE that I've seen at Paris and it's lovely, her on a stool, but I'm assuming you've probs got that one already. They don't have much for her, I've got the statue they released and that's all I've seen.

Don't be sorry! :D Thank you for the info! :like: I do not think I have the Jessica OE actually, sounds stunning! :D Do you have a picture of it? I wanted the statue/figure so bad from over there, I heard she was beautiful! :drool: I hope you have so much fun when you go, I will make it to DLPR one day, it is a goal! :lol: They don't do a lot of Jessica over there, but some of my favorites have been Paris pins for her! :bigthumb:
 
At the PTN's in DLP you can better show up around 3 P.M because the pins are limited and the chance is big you will miss them if you show up later.
Around 5 P.M they will hand out wristbands and around 6P.M they start drawing the colours of the wristbands.
Normally it's limited to 2 pins per design per person but sometimes they do 1 of each design and 1 random choosen by the CM but it depends how busy it will be.

Yeah it's best to mix the colour of your wristbands as well so each have a different colour to maximise your chances. You will also get a chance to win a second chance to buy using a lottery ticket, if your French is rusty it can be difficult to work out what number they have called, find Nadia and get her to translate for you. If you manage to get extra PTNs I would be interested but have fun. Definitely need get there early so 3pm is about right, it can get a bit intense, oh and there is usually a cast lanyard pin available if you buy the fruit cocktail. Above all have fun.
 
Thanks guys, great advice. It's a reason to get up really early to get to a few rides before the event then. I didn't think I would have to be 3 hours in advance, oh dear. Might have to put some vanilla ice cream on that for my boyfriend. Hehe.

I'm fluent in French, and my boyfriend is French so he can be the ears if my excitement makes me forget my second language skills, haha. ;) I'm excited, and happy to go for 2 days, hopefully he'll be too tuckered out to complain about the pins. I'll just take him on Space Mountain 3 times in the morning, haha.

Do you happen to know where the pin trading board in the Park is? I heard there was one in one of the stores on Main Street but I can't remember which now...

And nsingelton the jessica pin is the one on my board here (old photo)-

She was my first pin back in the hobby, a gift from my man. Well I guess I can blame him for starting me on it if he gives me any guff on our getaway, haha.

And not a great photo but the statues in the lower left here (I'll get a better picture when I get my camera back this week) they have a big one for 85€ that I love but It's a bit much for me right now, even for a gorgeous statue!

She is covered in glitter and her gloves are velvet. The base is a mirror with red lips as a frame.

The girl that offered me the ride, said last time they already started handing out wristbands at 2 pm ?

It's 99 % certain I'm going.
I'll be doing a quick tour of the shops around the park, and then head over to the hotel for the wristbands.
If you have them, can you still leave then and come back an hour before it actually starts?


There's sometimes a pin board at Harringtongs, but not the entire day, sometimes it's there, sometimes it's not, so I don't know if they work with specific hours/days.

Sometimes they start early, but don't know that early, maybe with a release like the Rapunzel locket that they hand out the wristbands earlier?
Normally if you're there by 3PM you have enough time and get a table (if you want to)
I don't know if you can leave once you have your wristband, because I always stayed trading at the PTN. But maybe you can ask one of the CM's of the pin team (Nadia) if you can leave. Or someone stays at the hotel and can text you when they start drawing the wristbands? :)

On Saturday and Sunday the Pueblo trading post is open, there will be pin traders and a pin board out side or inside (due to weather)
You can also ask at Harringtons for the times they put out the pin board :)
 
Are you looking to trade, or do you just want to be covered, cash-wise?

I'm looking for the OE Duffys (I still need Halloween, Christmas, 2014, and any they'll release after that). I also have a small list of LE stuff that I missed out on (like some later lockets and some Tink pins). I don't know how much you want to get into it, so I'll just say you can check my Wants list, or PM me if you want to.

I can cover you up front if you think you can snag the Duffys, or we can talk if you want some stuff from WDW (I'm going a lot this week). I don't mind buying merchandise as well.

Even if you can't because you've got a full plate, it was nice of you to offer for everyone, so thanks!
 
nsingelton- Thanks! That was a lucky find at the POTC gift shop. Last one too. It was heavy as all get out, but I've got a big strong man who wont even let me carry snacks with my bad back :) ) The jessica pin is 7 i think, it says 6 on the pinpics site but there aren't any 6 euro pins if I'm correct, I thought the cheapest was 7 last time I was there.

moorhunhe- maybe I'll see you there? :) You'll know me when you see me. Trust me on this one, haha.

mickeymousej- thanks for the info, and thanks for the compliment, it's actually full of different pins now (and a ton I can't even fit on!)

Jazzy B Bunny- I want that pin too, I'm not sure if they'll still have it. If they do my extra will probably be up for trade :)

I'm going to make a thread specifically for this since I need to organize it, and I thought about how I'd like to do it. The requests are limited to OE pins since the PTN are going to be a pin in the butt to get and I'm not even sure what they are. I won't be there on the weekend so there's that snag for any LE pins that may be released.
