I'm curious how people carry/transport their pins at pin trading events? I only been to one DLR Pin Trading night when we were very new and had very little pins but now i have about 2 bags. I want to bring pins and vinyls to D23 to trade with but I think I will be pretty miserable if I had to carry that weight on my shoulders all day. Would it be weird if I took along something that I could roll around like a suitcase?

At the NJ pin weekend I briefly went to, almost everyone had suitcases filled with binders. Of course this was in a hotel lobby/conference rooms though...I don't blame you for not wanting to carry all those pins!

I don't carry all my pins with me when I go into the park and trade. I normally bring more open edition pins with me when I'm trading in the park (most people don't have limited's that I'd trade for my limited's), open edition traders are more common. Now on like Sunday's, it's more limited collectors, but back to your question.

Like I said, I don't carry all, just ones that I think will trade well during the day. I put them in two bags and can either carry them on each shoulder or simply like a bag in my hand. I've seen people use everything from wheel chairs to you name it. Just check if the place your going to allows like suitcases. If you were to try and take that into like say Disneyland, they won't allow it as far as I know. Things with wheels like luggage, etc isn't allowed in the park. It's a safety thing.

It wouldn't be weird at all. There are always people using strollers or roller carts to carry their pins and vinyls. It totally saves your back. My girlfriend and I carried our 4 bags at the sci-fi event and we were wishing for cart to carry them in. :)

I gotta agree here. I would totally buy a stroller if my hubby would let me. He just doesn't understand tbe need since we have no children. Lolol

There are small suitcases to carry your labtops and office needs etc. These hold two pin bags, the kind that hold 250 pins. I have one that has different compartments, so I put my LE pin bag in one pocket and a mixed pin bag in another one. The one I have has an outer pocket which I use to put the traders for the boards and checklists. It is smaller than a suitcase, so it looks quite presentable, and it holds 500 pins. It has rollers, and I just roll it into places, and because it is smaller than a suitcase, I can put it on a table to get the bags out of it. I love mine and it helps a lot.

I have a nifty little chair cart that Spiffie told me about. It holds six pin bag and the seat folds down so you have a place to sit while standing in lines, or opening your bag to trade. I love mine. I only carry my big bags to events where there is a good possibility of trading. I have a backpack with a small bag in it for everyday trading.

I did during the NJ event, but now that I sold most of my pins, I'm down to one full pin trading book . Those pins are on cards . The other is the tri fold Disney binder , with my lose limited release & Stitch pins .
Now until October, I need to buy traders on original cards .

I really wish I could figure out how to take ALL my trade stuff to an event, but I have 22 bags and 3 storage crates. It's too much to haul in and haul out at the Florida Project and I don't go to any PTN events due to the sharks. If you come up with a good way to do, let me know.

I wonder if you mean all your trader pins. Like Margaret (swim2sea) we have 11 full cork boards, 8 bags and then 5 trader bags.
I do take all my traders with me to every event. The only reason I used to carry some of our other speciality bags is I would trade hard for a pin we already had so I had them for reference.
Now that I have an iPhone and pinpics at my fingertips, there is no need anymore...:-)

Do u have a link for your chair cart? I remember the long lines for the dream store during the first expo so that would come in handy.

And thanks everyone! Im going to search for the things that were mentioned here.

All my Traders? Yes. They fit in about 4 bags, and I have a crafting cart (from Jo-Ann) that all that goes in .

I always take them all because the vent is really the only place I do big trades for anymore. At PTN, it's usually the same familiar faces, and we don't change our traders enough to do a lot of trading with each other. And online...we all know how that goes nowadays.

I've had them in carry-on luggage and various other carts, and settled on this one. It's still not perfect (the wheels don't rotate 360 like the ones on my luggage do), but it's easier to get in and out of (my main complaint with carry-on luggage).

i see a trader at DLR that has the baby stroller full of stuff. The first time i saw them.. i was looking for the kid.. than after about the 3 or 4th time at the park and i see the same trader... I than get the deal... not there for fam fun or sum rides... This is a pearson thats ready to trade...got a shop in that baby cart..lol Im not sure that this would help some of u... not sure the max u can put in a baby stroller. You may need the one made for 3 kids..lol... Jokes aside... I think its cool trouble to have. congrads to all the ppl with such nice big collections.
