Does anyone know anything about this pin? It's not on Pinpics. It's currently on ebay and I'm interested in it since I collect PatP. Something that I think is important to mention is that the seller is in China. Could this pin possibly be a fake? I included a picture of the back of the pin, so hopefull that will help determine if it is real or not.
Any help would be appreciated :)

Hmm...if it's from China, it could possibly be from a yet-to-be-released set or something?

I think this happened with the princess shoes booster set that was recently released...they were being sold from China (and less-than-reputable sellers) before they came out in the parks.

Oooh. I don't know anything about it but I'll be watching this thread, as I collect PatF too. It's lovely!

I suspect Becky's guess is probably right though.

I think it looks okay. It could just be the scan. Recently I have gotten REAL pins that have a bit of a jaggered bottom edge like that. I think this pin would be way to costly for china to make for a nice profit.

Wasn't the DSF Kevin Mother's Day pin being sold early from China? We knew that was a fake because it was a DSF pin. Does the seller say where this pin is from? It says LE 1000. Could it maybe be a Hong Kong/Tokyo pin?

Don't forget there are 2 types of pins we have to worry about. Counterfeits, where price comes into play. And real scrappers, the ones that come from the production of Disney's official run of pins. It looks like this is supposed to be an LE1000, so who knows how many might have been stamped out to get 1000 good ones. Also, sometimes I think some of these unknown pins are ones Disney has ordered but for some reason decided not to release. The stuff that gets rejected from Disney's official production, gets out into the world too. Remember, earlier this summer a couple Ebay sellers had the Dumbo Gear Up for Adventure about 2 months before the event. But those become harder to identify since the quality should match pretty well with the stuff eventually sold, assuming it went through final finishing. But since this pin doesn't seem to have been released anywhere and is coming from China, those are bad signs.

I do not like the look of the back of that pin..the Mickeys do not look good to me

To me the mickey back stamp looks o.k. I mean, it doesnt have any sort of or centered border, it goes right off the metal, the picture is a bit to pixelated to see great. It might be a real pin, it might be from some set that has yet to be released, it might ust be an LE1000 that didnt make it to pinpics. the other one, of the prince matches nicely to it. over all its a cute set.

Can the OP tell us what the backstamp says? perhaps it is a DLHK??? whats the year on it?
