Omg! For less then $1200 a month i live 10 minutes from the beach on a half acre in a 2300 squarefoot house with a 2 car garage and in ground swimming pool! How do people survive in California!?!? Li, send me their info, id like to help!
$1200 a month would buy you a descent home in Vegas. My home is small and we do not have much money, but I would consider a pin or food type donation. We will be going to Cali in March and could drop stuff off too. Maybe if we could provide food they could save their money for the move? I don't know but I always try to help others when I can. Just let us know. Thanks

$1,200 a month is only rental money in nice parts of California for a decent one bedroom. Once you move away from Los Angeles or Orange County then rental prices can drop below $1,000 but not by much. I own a home and pay over three times that for a monthly mortage in Los Angeles.

$1200 is doable in parts of Northern/Central OC. My friend was living near Cal State Fullerton for about that.
My friend in Fullerton did a one bedroom with a roommate. They turned the dining room into a bedroom. I'd imagine it'd be tough with four but there were plenty of families in that complex living in similar situations. I had another friend living in an OK part of Anaheim in a two bedroom apartment for around $1600 if I recall. Try looking in the area around Disneyland especially to the east. It's a safe area.Is it doable for 4 people?

I have no money to donate, sadly, but I looked on Craigslist a bit and came up with these listings(I hope this is okay, since it isn't ebay links! lol)
