Sure can... Are you coming to the Pooh release? I can just bring it there if you want.

(That applies to anyone actually, I can bring them to the release instead of shipping if you prefer.)

Not coming to the release, but will be at WIR release? Not sure if you want to wait that long though...if not, I can send payment shortly

It would be nice if you would first sell to people who are not in the immediate area or those that do not resell pins, no offense Starry but considering that you live so close it seems a bit unfair to those that live hundreds to thousands of miles away and get gouged when trying to buy anything much less DSF/GSF. Just MHO.

I actually seek out homes for a lot of my pins by directly contacting members that have posted that they want them. (I have a couple that I've seen in people's SIG pics that I didn't list here as I want to offer them to those people directly...) Most of these here are ones I didn't see anyone specifically asking for, so I just offered them up for sale. (I don't think I see any of the ones I'm offering on your wants list, for example...)

And when you don't put your location in your profile, I have no idea where you are from, so how would I know if you are not in the immediate area?

A couple of these pins are going to England as it is... I think the only advantage I might be giving US members over international one is just the time I posted it (almost night time there, middle of the day here...), but that wasn't intentional...

In addition to what rik1138 said, some people, like myself, yes live very close but can't always make it to releases or got bad numbers. I only bought the queen as I didn't start back in the pin world until recently, and didn't even know that pin existed. As for Li (starry solo) I would just like to say, she is a complete peach! In the short time I've been here I've never seen her gouge anyone and she has always been a sweetheart to me and has helped many people get pins they wanted. I often buy pins that don't fit in my collection to use as zaps or for the RAK Attacks.I just don't think its fair of you to accuse people of price gouging and reselling just because they live nearby. I'm not trying to be mean, just stating my honest opinion.

@Rik, I was not trying to be rude and I really appreciate your response and your efforts to assist those that have no ability to get these for a reasonable price. Thank you for those that only dream of paying retail, myself included. I live in CA but so far away that at cost pins are not something I could do more than once or twice a year.

@Maleficent913, I was not suggesting that Li was anything other than awesome. I have purchased from her several times and possibly traded as well and have never had so much as a disagreement with her. My point was that she lives very close to both DLR and DSF and while you say you
"can't always make it to releases" the people I am talking about do not have an option to make it or not as it would involve either a plane ride or a 8+ hour drive. I have seen your posts in the Live From Hollywood area and seen that your husband and someone else were there even though you couldn't make it. I am not giving you a hard time for that I am simply pointing out that having that luxury is unimaginable to a huge percentage of this forum and if those that are willing to sell at cost would give those people the same luxury, it would be really nice.

My suggestion, and it was simply that was to afford those that have no access to ANY pins at cost much less some of the more desirable ones such as the DSF/GSF pins and it was not my intention to offend anyone, simply a suggestion to help those that really, in all fairness need it the most.

On my recent trip to DLR I offered to pick up pins at cost and I was inundated with requests both here and via Facebook, so much so that I was unable to track down the sheer quantity of pins being requested. I was really surprised at just how many people could not get even common rack pins at cost considering how many forum members either live or work there and could very easily pick those up. This is a subject that has long rubbed me the wrong way and while those that flip pins regularly rally together to defend the practice of price gouging/fixing, and I of course understand the desire to make money, I also know that it takes very little effort to buy and ship pins. To demand such a huge markup for doing little more than walking into a store and making a purchase (yes DSF is different but not to the tune of massive markups currently seen considering there are no more overnight, days long campouts) and those that make comments like "I am taking at least 8 people to this release" in order to obtain as many pins as possible is just sickening because they are not doing that to keep them, they are doing it to control prices and it hurts the hobby and drives away those that cannot or will not pay the kind of prices being demanded. I'm sure others have noticed the recent trend of huge price drops after releases because people are finally saying NO to the obscene greedy prices being asked. A year ago prices only went up, while every single release over the past few months other than Frozen has dropped and quickly, including the extremely sought after BT's.

Jumping down from the soap box and hopefully without pissing off too many people. Thanks again Rik for offering fair prices, you don't see it very often and its a really nice thing to do.
