DSF Hinged Book Release
Has anyone ever been to the DSF for a pin release? How fast do they go through line once they open at 9:30am? Do you get time to look at the pins or do they have you buy the pin right away? How many people do they let in the building at once?
 
Wife and I are going. The actual line won't actually start until midnight (according to DSF). We plan on being there by 3 or 4am. And i still think we're being a little paranoid....but I'm hoping to trade these for a specific Tangled PODM..so gotta be early. I'll do some updating as well.

Im willing to bet a pretty penny itll be closer to the UP release. Consdering the size of the pins and how nice they look. Not to mention that UP is one of the pins?! A lot of pin traders are gong because of the UP and LM Pin. Our grour of pin traders will probably be there around 6-7PM. I guess its better to be safe than sorry huh? lol.

They are on display at DSF?? no one has took a picture of them :P
 
Restaurant and stores ARE open but once you get in line, most people expect you to not get out of line unless it IS to use the bathroom. Luckily, DSF has a bathroom available right where people line up and has a security gaurd available 24 hours. All you have to do is knock on the door and they let you right in!

Yes, each person is limited to buying 2 pins but often, a whole family will wait in line so that they can buy up to say 10 sets if they bring enough family/friends to wait in line with them.

BTW, totally bummed about the Tangled PODM. I was naive to think I would go seek it out when I go to Disneyland on Monday...did not realize the craze that surrounds Disney pins. Quickly learning! :sad:

Is anyone on here actually there yet? I want to know whether I should try to make a trip down there. Anyone hear anything? You can PM me if you don't want to give anything away publicly.

I am going tommorow but I got a call just now from one of my CM friends that said SOME of the pins didn't come in!! Totally scared now I won't be able to get any for any of my friends or anyone on here...
 
That is a rumor. I just called the DSF and spoke with a worker and she said all of the pins are in and the release will go as scheduled. Go to the DSF Facebook page and you will get the correct information.
