DSF needs to get its act together an decide - wristbands or not...

Really? Give the folks at DSF a break for goodness sakes. :facepalm:
 
I also agree with the above comments... They deal with enough in their challenge to make as many people happy as possible... Give them a break... They will not forget about the release, but they also know whatever they post will get reactions from someone or another to complain....!!! How many times have you called to just say thank you to Ed, Theresa, Patty, Nelson and the rest of the amazing people that run the establishment that many of us truly cherish... I bet there is less than 1 thank you call for every 100 complaining calls... They honestly deserve much more from us for all they do for the pin trading community... Just my opinion... I thank them all up and down every time I see them... Every one of them...
 
It is a valid question though. Are they or are they not doing wristbands for the Mulan release? Hopefully, they will post something before the close of business today.
 
I think everyone who likes the DSF and the things they do for us, should take some time in the next couple of days and call them just to say thank you... Anyone of them... Ed for running the establishment, Theresa or Patty for running our pin things, and especially Nelson for keeping us all safe throughout the nights we spend in a very rough neighborhood and keeping the bums from peeing on us as we sleep...LOL...
 
Aww! I'm sure DSF has plenty on their plate and if they're constantly bombarded with phone calls, I th k that would only delay the much anticipated announcement. Plus, I don't think it's ever wise to pester someone from whom you are trying to get something. But that's just my two cents worth. ^^;;

no no... the actual buyer are not already in line. The bums they PAID to stay there are already in line. Didn't you know thats why it always smells like pee? The bums get paid by the pin traders to stay there.
 
This is a bad idea. If we keep making this miserable, they will wash their hands of it and go with the easiest method for THEM, which will be very bad for us as pin traders. They already know people are upset, so this will not hurry things along.

I don't live down there as most of you know, but just following the threads here it seems like they can't make up their minds. Are they going to please everybody, no way, but pick a method and quit changing it all the time. That is really the biggest problem I see from afar. They may be great people and well intentioned, but figure it out already. It is not a new thing they are doing. How hard is it to figure out. There is only 300 of the darn things. If you ask me the wristband thing is stupid since you are creating problems twice or 3 times. But what do I know?
 
I called them last week about the Chocolate box release. Just simply picking up the phone I can tell they've been getting annoyed with the calls.
 
I remember the first time I've ever been to DSF for a campout there was a security guard that handed you a wristband the moment you walked up to them. I think that was the best "desicion" Am I wrong?

I am doing this on my lunch break tommorow. I have been to big and small releases and I absolutely love DSF. They need to know it too.

I think people just get more upset over big releases.

THIS ISN'T A BIG RELEASE. It isn't a huge title, and it is a re-release. It will be like all the other ones, no wristbands, Marquees will probably be out by noon or a little after 1 and the lunch hour. the rest will be around a day or until the first night AT LEAST. Same goes for the LatT release.

If there's no wristband it probably means several of these:
-No surprise pin, if there is, it's not Rapunzel, UP, made of gold or it's a higher LE (not 150 but 300)
-The PTD isn't expected to change with the day, or the list of upcoming ones aren't hot
-One of the biggest factors is HOW MANY PEOPLE have pre-ordered tickets to see the movie this weekend. The Ticket sales are low, so the pin sale will be low
-It's not a holiday weekend
-There's nothing special coming out. they just did two of the biggest releases which are both post Pascal and Punzel PTD which were also pretty crazy.


No wristbands? Fine. It'll be a normal day.
