Now that the year is coming to a close, it's time to look back on 2024 and share your favorite pins!

For my main collection of Wonderland, my favorite this year was also the one that brought me the most frustration upon its release:

The jumbo Alice PTD from this year's D23 Expo! I ran first thing for their booth as soon as the expo opened on the one day I could get a ticket. The sign outside the booth marked which pins were sold out and which were still available. Alice was marked still available over an hour later as I entered the booth and headed for the cashier. The guy couldn't be bothered to look in the buckets behind him as he told me that pin was sold out. I argued it was marked still available outside. He refused to check and just looked bored as he asked if I wanted to buy anything else. I left there in tears. Because of his AWFUL customer "service".

I was eventually thankfully able to trade for it. And I love the pin. But it will always be a painful memory of just how wretched that CM was who couldn't be bothered to check if a pin was still for sale and refused to help after I spent an HOUR in line for it.

On the Marvel side of my collection, nothing really rocked my world as an individual pin. But I did enjoy the hidden mickey t-shirts with Marvel character logos on them. Especially Loki and Cap.

What were your favorites for 2024?

I'm so glad you were able to trade for that gorgeous Alice PTD, @Jabberwocky. Especially after the initial frustration of not getting it at D23.

My favorite pin of 2024 was also from D23 (and also acquired after the event) the WDI Pinocchio cuckoo clock. It's just so beautiful! I get a little teary thinking about how perfect it is. It's tied for favorite out of my whole 1000+ pin collection, the other favorite being Mickey as the king on Coronation Day from 2023.

I was able to acquire two grails this year - the Peter Pan character cluster and the Figaro cat nap! I’d been looking for both of these for years.

I was also delighted with the new Pin Trading Time Figaro pin from Paris and the 3-pin Figaro set that came out from Pink a la Mode this year.

Thank you to everyone who helped me add these to my collection!

So many wonderful pins this year...

Mickey: Finally gained this older Mickey Paris pin via trade. Such a fun and unique pin (I love unique pins.)

Moana: Traded for this pin just this month. One of my favorite Moana pins not just for 2024, but overall.

Maleficent: This Adorbs villain set for my Maleficent collection. Traded for this one on PinandPop.

Star Wars: This lovely older Star Wars Convention Porgs pin. Another trade completed for this older pin. Bringing me within just a couple of Porg pins to be Porg pin complete.

Characters in Costume: And finally, this Paris drop. Paris gets so many amazing pins. Was able to gain my biggest wants from the Paris Carnival 2024 pins.

Awesome pins. Major congrats on the Moana.

That Mickey pin is amazing

For me, it was any/all Off the Page pins I acquired this year, which is most of them. I really love that series. But I do wish they would stop making them. I want to be complete already!
I feel this. I finally decided it was time to frame my DSSH Villain cuties set... Even tho DSSH keeps releasing more. Villain adorbs also will be a challenge as Disney keeps making more.

I've been trying to figure out how to answer this question. I have so many collections, and a lot of what I hunt is cheaper pins so I get so many new pins in a year. Then I realized, I can use the filters on Pin & Pop to look at year. There are probably more but 6516! pins are found with 2024 release dates! No wonder we're always, "leave my collections alone!" Okay favorites...

Why? My Dad had an opportunity to buy a piece of production artwork from the estate of Les Clark, one of Walt's "Nine old Men." The piece he owns came from the 1935 animated short Mickey's Garden. I had long thought this was a short that had been forgotten by everyone, especially Disney, and then this year Coach made a merchandise line using it. The parks brought back the old "Mickey & Co," branding and released a bunch of product including this pin.

I have always loved the 1956 animated short "In the Bag," and Disney has used Humphrey the Bear for Wilderness Lodge merchandise, since he is included on the totem pole. But WDI? There were five "In the Bag" pins released in 2024. I have 4 of them (need to track down the Christmas wreath from the mystery set). And 4 of them are non-Wilderness Lodge related!

I feel like there are others, but if they are from places I don't have access to, I probably erased them from my memory to avoid the pain of not owning them.

That's so cool about the art your dad was able to acquire!! And I am a huge fan of that Humphrey pin, it will be one of my favorites, once I have it.

There were so many pins released this past year it's hard to pick my favorites! But just a few that come to mind:

For Turning Red Mei pins, I usually stick with Panda Mei. But this PTD is WAY too adorable so I broke my collection parameters for her. The best part is I was able to get to DSF before she sold out, so I was able to get her in person.

This pin of my booooooy. I cannot get over his facial expression here!

Robin Hood had some exceptional pins this year! Some of my favorites:

The Heroes vs. VIllains series. One of my non-DPF pin friends got this from the expo specifically for me, and after seeing it in person I fell in love with the set and decided to collect them all!

I love Stork Robin so, so much (one of my eventual cosplay goals is Stork Robin) so I was delighted when I saw the Adorbs box set with the disguises! Plus gotta also go with regular Robin Adorbs, and Sir Hiss Adorbs is so little and cute and smiley that he's my third favorite of the set.

We finally got a "burnin' the chow!" pin! I don't have it in hand yet but I have it ordered and can't wait to see it in person!

And this spectacular pin of all the Robin Hood villains from the Disney After Dark event.

And lastly, the D23 princess dress pins are INCREDIBLY detailed and stunning in person, and I am happy I pulled the trigger to get Merida when I did, about halfway through her meteoric value rise.

That dress Merida! Love it!

Where is the Timon pin from? I have not seen it before.

Humphrey has been a nice little collection. There are probably about 50 pins, and the majority of them were common upon release, or high enough LE to be obtainable. The low LE, HTF ones are:

This year's WDI pin, 2 DEC pins, 1 Mickey Mouse Club boxed set from Tokyo, chaser from the American Adventure state pin set, individual pin from the Mickey's Circus event LE 200 boxed set.

I think I am missing 5 Humphrey pins: the previously mentioned American Adventure chaser, and the Mickey's Circus pin. Also, the DLR Camp-Pin-E-Ha-Ha from 2007 had a few Humphrey pins and I am missing 2 of them. That period was in my "dark ages" and I didn't remember to try to catch up on them until it was too late. I've looked on Ebay from time to time and there are either no listings or $50 and I am cheap. Oh, and I forgot the new mystery set wreath.

I have two favorite pins from this year. An Abu and a Percy.

Having always picked up random regular pins here and there over the years, I never really looked at the mystery pin pouches. The first pack I looked at were the Pixie Plush pins, with the cutest Abu. My daughter calls my brother in law Abu. When she was a baby she couldn't pronounce Uncle and would instead say Abu, and it stuck.

Pocahontas was always my favorite movie and Meeko and Percy were my favorite. So much so I added a pug to my family back in 2007 who passed in 2022. My pug Frank was just as much a diva as Percy.

Not fancy pins by any means but I love them so much!

Do you have a PinPics account?

Hi! I don't have PinPics but I do have Pin and Pop. Do you recommend PinPics?
I like PinPics because it allows you to compare your wants and someone elses trades. It is more complete with older pins
which I have more of. It's really up to you. Also, PinPics has been around for a very long time and I have been using it longer
so I keep it more complete.

They don't have to be fancy to be great! I love those and the story behind them!

Looks like I need to get busy!!!! Thanks!!
