Im going to DL tomorrow im going to try and get 2 PODMs one for me and one for my dear pin friend Dawny, Where do I park? is the structure open that early, do I park in the Downtown Dis lot? where do I park? then we line up at the ESPN zone area? and they give us bracelets? then we spred out to where we choose to get the pin? I need clarity, can someone who's done this before, give me some advice please? I would truly apreciate any info I can get.

Disneyland® Resort Wristband Guidelines:
Wristbands will be distributed entitling bearers the opportunity to purchase the Piece of Disney Movie History limited edition pin. Wristbands for pins will be distributed behind Rainforest Cafe® / in front of ESPN Zone® beginning at 7am, while supplies last. At 8am wristband distribution will move to Disney Pin Traders, while supplies last. We kindly ask that Guests do not queue up behind Rainforest Cafe® until 6am. Limit One Wristband per Guest.
In addition, holding a place in line for others in your party will not be allowed. Guests who wish to obtain a wristband to purchase a pin must be present when the line forms or they will be escorted to the back of the line. At time of wristband distribution, we ask that you please select a location to purchase the pin: Little Green Men Store Command, Fly n' Buy or Disney's Pin Traders. Wristbands will be valid for the purchase of the pins at the designated merchandise locations until 1:00 P.M. on the day of distribution. Wristbands are limited. At 1:00 P.M. any remaining pins will be available for purchase at the designated merchandise location by persons who have not previously purchased the pin(s) on the day of release. Pin limits will apply. Theme park admission required. Lost, stolen or damaged wristbands will not be replaced. Wristbands have no cash value. Restrictions apply. Subject to change without notice.

Typically, people park at DTD and line up around 6am. There are those who camp out, but they are not supposed to. When they distribute wristbands (tomorrow at 7am) they'll ask you where do you want to buy your pins from: Pin Traders, LGM Store Command, or Fly n Buy? You choose one and they'll give you the corresponding wristband. You'll be directed to either park or the DTD line and then you get your pins. Hope this helps.
 
Now I just need to decide, I live 1hr 30min away my sons school starts at 12:05 bracelets at 7 I am going to assume im going to get pins (cross fingers) around 9ish mabey earlier, can I get back home to get him in school on time 12:05 hmmmm? that would give me a chance to get 4 1 for me 1 for Dawny 1 for Jordan (he'll want to trade) and 1 spare to trade. Do I dare take the chance? lol.

If you are pressed for time my recommendation would be NOT to chose PinTraders in Downtown Disney/California. Last release (Mulan) they had 1 cast member selecting 5 pins for the next guest to look at and 1 cast member who handed the 5 selections to the cast member who showed them to a guest who then had to go inside and queue up for still another cast member/cashier. Lines were curled and curled, all out in the sun without shade, seemingly on purpose. The line could have gone twice as fast if there had been two lines or one cast member to one guest. If it were me I would choose another location. Many guests were quite irate at the inefficient manner of selling/showing the pins.
 
For the Mulan pin release, we got there at 6.30 and chose Pin traders and got our pins at 11.30 !

so 9ish is over optimistic !
 
thanks for that info, I was there for a PODM release before the bracelets, I got the pins around 9ish thats where I was getting the guess, I appreciate the advice, I better not take him, lol oh wellie! better to know now then to have him miss another day of school, he was just out for 3 days for the Halloween party when we went.
 
he does fine, but yeah he does get bored, i've taken him to 1 PODM release, he got excited and helped picked out the scenes, and traded 1, but yeah the waiting is rough, thats when the ipod touch comes into play, games, games, games! but I also took him out of school 15, 16, 17 I don't want to get a truancy letter in the mail LOL! I do really want to bring him, I just want to get him home in time. Im mixed right now.
 
I do have an A/P just had to renew "OUCH!" fly n buy is in California adventure? lol I should know this. I'm used to going to LGM store, I have not been to many releases, and it shows hehe.
