Does anyone know if Sephora was planning on doing any more Disney compacts and merchandise? I think a Frozen compact mirror would be an amazing addition!

Unfortunately the Sephora Disney collaboration was limited to the three lines they did. This doesn't mean a definite no (it was successful enough that I think expanding their contract is possible, or them creating a new line), but it is unlikely. Disney has their own beauty line in parks now- beautifully disney- so maybe they'll do something Frozen themed? But it probably won't be quite as lovely as the Sephora compact mirrors.

Question...why does a lot of the imagery for Anna make her look severely cross-eyed when the actual merchandise and movie don't show her as cross-eyed?
Cause, the dolls aren't, but the image of Anna slapped on the box is. Confusled I am. Maybe she was posing for the picture and got distracted by a snowflake on her nose?

That's incorrect. I agree that is the perception, but not all Black people are from Africa, and I feel its wrong to assume that's the case. I feel that Tiana is probably Creole, but its not stated, so Im going with Black American. I could be biased, as Tiana being Black and not Creole or African makes her more similar to my family!

I went to look for those chocolate eggs but I found none, I did find Kinder eggs with princesses inside them. They're packs of three and you have a 1/3 chance of getting a princess. I ate two eggs and no princess so the third is the princess but I'm full rn lol. Going to look for those Frozen eggs in the city on Thursday, might have a bigger shot there since they have a bigger variety of candy. We also have a Disney collactables shop there so if I see anything Frozen, I'll be sure to make some photos.

I did find this Nintendo game when I was on the egg hunt. I didn't buy it though, it was €35. I might go to my local game shop and see whether they have it secondhand. It's Olaf so I'm naturally attracted to it.

I've found Disney characters to be cross-eyed ever since Bolt. It's always the character's right eye that's too close to his or her nose. I think it's a style choice. No one else has noticed that? Their mouths are usually lop-sided, too. A good example of the mouth thing is when Anna meets Olaf and says his name for the first time.

I'm totally with you on that. I've had that argument with some (black FWIW) American friends who've told me all black people originate from Africa--to which I replied it can be argued that ALL people originated from Africa at one point depending on your beliefs, so...

I'm not saying who's right or wrong. I'm just saying I *think* the PC way to say it in the US is African American, and that's probably why the above poster labeled Tiana that way. Again, here we say black (or Jamaican or Bajan or whatever, if people want to get specific), but I don't think Canadians are as sensitive about racism. Mind you, most family functions in my city look like a frigging Benetton ad, lol. So maybe I'm overexposed and callous to the whole situation. *shrugs*

That is too bad. Sephora's line was really remarkable. I wish they had plans to continue it.

I have no idea if this is true or not, but I go to Sephora A LOT and back in the summer I was in the store pretty much every other day lol. Anyways, I was talking to one of the girls there as she was matching me for a foundation and the Ariel line had just come out and she said that they were talking about doing more for 2014 (after 2013 Christmas season that is). Apparently the original contract were to do 3 different Princess lines, but nobody said that they couldn't make a new contract for another 3. Made me super excited because I loved the previous lines (I'm still on the lookout for the Cinderella mirror since my sister was picking the stuff up for me and the only mirror left was broken) and I would desperately love to see a Belle, Rapunzel and now an Elsa one!

I think people assume because Disney started their own make-up line that Disney would not be working with Sephora anymore. I think thats a very good assumption, but I REALLLLLLLLLLLLLY want more Sephora!

The "Art of Frozen" book explains this directly. I found it pretty interesting:

"
'Chris had a very strong opinion about the shape of Anna's eyes and how best to achieve it,' says supervising animator Mark Henn. "That slightly angled almond eye looks great in a drawing, but it sometimes doesn't work right mechanically. You can make cheats easily in a drawing, but in CG, you get that little extra shape over the pupils, and right away the character starts to look cross-eyed. So they have to compensate for it, and then figure out how to get the lids to close in a convincing way."

I think that some of the people who are doing merchandise concept design have a hard time with translating the drawings to actual merchandise, or different dimensions. Funny that he had an exact answer for you though! I hope this helps. I loved this book.

Perhaps, but look at the madness that went through with the Ariel line. It sold out online in minutes. Plus Sephora products are much more expensive than the Beautifully Disney, I can't see why Disney would stop future collaborations. They would make an absolute mint out of the next ones- especially if they made one to go with the release of the Sleeping Beauty blu-ray. Plus Frozen is coming out in March (which was around the same time that Jasmine's line was released) and Elsa is super popular with adults. They could make a lot of nice light shimmery blues and then the rich colours of her coronation outfit. It would be dreamy lol

honestly, I think Disney makes more with a Disney line than with a Sephora line. cut out the middle man and all that.

im so excited for disney to add Anna and Elsa to the princess line! I cant wait to see them on all the princess merch like notebooks etc

Maybe, but I don't think their stuff sells nearly as well as Sephora's line

But Disney is capable of the same quality, and they know that. I wouldn't expect it to be too long before we start seeing some really nice mirrors (and hopefully hairbrushes) from Beautifully Disney. I'd love a Rapunzel brush and an Elsa snow flake mirror!

When exactly does the pre-order for the new LE dolls in the U.S. Disney Store online start on Jan. 10 (as in, what time do I need to wake up to order? ) Thanks in advance!

The dolls go on sale at 12am PST so the time zone you are in will dictate what time you will have to wake up, hope this helps

Does anyone know if they already came out with a Frozen Deluxe Figurine set yet? The fancier version of the Disney Store figurine set they usually sell?

Not yet, but I definitely want one if they do. I thought the first set was pretty nice as well, but more is always fun. I think the rumor is that they're releasing more things with the Blu-ray release, so maybe then!

I was inputting movie points on disney movie rewards and you can get free Arendelle Travel posters - it's just a PDF file you can print but pretty cute. (and sorry if someone already posted this, I'm way behind on reading this thread )
