Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
WOW! These are the best "Play" dolls ever that DS has released, hands down! Get them as soon as you can, because years later, DS will reissue both dolls but in a downgraded version, just like Rapunzel and Merida.

I apologize if this was already posted, but I just saw these!!! Ahhhh They're so adorable!!

B-E-A-uuUUTIFUL!!! Most have for me wow just wow hope not to much different from the picture to actual dolls. I wonder how much for the set.

It says: Available beginning Sunday, August 11. That's online and in-stores, right?

WOW, absolutely stunning dolls!! They are both equally beautiful and look such high quality, I'm so excited!!!

I'm also now confused by the hair colors. I thought Elsa was to have more of a white platinum color not a true blonde and Anna to me looked like she should be a dirty blonde/light brown color with a hint of strawberry. Not all out red orange.

I still want to know why Disney makes thier caucasian princesses all blondes and redheads. Snow and Belle are the only exceptions.

The dolls look great! Although I'm not completely in love with them. At first glance I thought they were the Mattel dolls. That being said I much prefer the Elsa. The top of her hair is a little crazy but it's still beautifully done. And she has great detail in her dress. Still very excited to pick these up and see them in person.

Does anyone else see huge similarities in the Merida Mattel doll and the face of the Anna?

I do see the resemblance you are talking about - and it actually makes me really happy! I think the Mattel Merida face is gorgeous, but I am not a huge fan of Merida at all so this is a great way for me to have a doll with the same look.

Overall I just love the look of these ladies, I absolutely cannot wait for Frozen. With all the inevitable drama that comes from Designer Doll sets and Limited Editions, I am happy that there will be lots of basic line dolls this year that are lovely and I will want to pick up.

I dont think these are the Disney Stores because they don't have the amount of detail like Hans ans Kristoff did. You can see how Anna's skirt is lacking. But they are very Amazing and its super exciting to see them in doll form and the head molds which DS will probably use!

I personally like her skirt because even though it's one "simple" layer, it's glitter-free! I can just imagine by next year, we'll probably have a glitter-fied version.

Personally, I think they're totally Disney standard, not Mattel-looking. You can tell just by the quality of the face sculpts; I thought the Mattel ones just looked goofy. Sure there isn't EVERY detail in the outfits, but these are just 12" play dolls (as far as I can tell) mostly intended for kids. Little things like pom poms I think run the risk of detaching easily and causing a quality issue. I'm not saying they're perfect, but I think they look very well done. Elsa has a special glitter design on her dress and Anna even has boots, gloves, and a white streak in her hair.
Anna's haircolor might be a little bit too vibrant, but Elsa's (as I mentioned previously) looks spot on with the promo shots and 2d artwork they've released. It seems to vary from pale blonde (in 2d representations) to silver white (in 3d renderings).
If they do decide to make deluxe versions of these dolls/characters, I'm sure they'll be fully detailed and absolutely stunning.

Totally agree with you Auroradawn! These dolls are nowhere near the Mattel ones, in quality and details terms.

Another reason these one may be more simple is that they are from a two-pack (I believe). The gentleman were on their own, so if we get some individual dolls of these ladies (and I'm assuming we will - in their alternate outfits) they will probably be slightly more detailed in costume.

Awesome!! Posting pics here so more people can see...

Well then you'll be happy to know that they're listed as: "Anna and Elsa Doll Set – Frozen – 11â€"

Aww man, I was hoping they wouldn't be together. I only want the Elsa doll and my sister wants Anna and I don't debox any of my dolls, LE or not, which means I'll have to buy two of these and I don't want to do that. My sister might just be out of luck. she can have Anna, but she's not leaving the box.

Ok so...is Elsa a villain or a tragic hero/damsel in distress? In everything I've read, it paints her as one or the other. I know I only care to collect villains, but I don't care. I love everything Elsa that I have seen and...I WANT! Honestly, I seriously am looking forward to seeing the 17" LE version after seeing these ones. (My only critique would be that I hope the top sheer layer is more sheer. That way we get a glittery over layer and can still see the intricacy of the main dress.)
I am already in love with this character. <3

I originally assumed she'd be a villain since in the original fairy tale the Snow Queen is a villain, but since Frozen seems to be far from the fairy tale, I'd say she's more of a tragic hero. From what I gather, she accidentally casts a spell on the kingdom and because she can't deal with the "monster" she becomes, she runs away and depending on how much time goes by between Elsa leaving and Anna going to find her, maybe Elsa slowly becomes heartless or evil or whatever.

My guess is that Elsa is going to be good, but she has an uncontrollable power that makes everyone think she is evil and she even begins to believe it. She probably isolates herself. I think it will be a story of sisterhood.
