Frozen Disney Store Merchandise, What are you looking forward to? (Contains Spoilers)
In regards to the rumored dolls of Kristoff and Hans... I HIGHLY doubt they are real.

Also, remember each store gets a completely different amount of LE dolls. My store only got 6 of the 17in Ariel, while other stores may have gotten 16.

Yeah that is sort of why if I was wondering if the that comment made by the person was one made based on them contacting their local disney store and getting the information from them or if it was sourced from somewhere else. Because that being said 18 units of this supposed four pack of dolls is a lot of units for one store to have like you mentioned Jenna our store only got 6 of Ariel and she was LE 6000 so 18 of a LE 2500 (at most) would be a lot to have in one store (unless of course it was somewhere in Europe where they usually just have one store in the entire country to hold the dolls). Which is sort of why I didnt believe it either, so I honestly think that that comment was made just to stir things up or the person has been grossly misinformed by their store.

My store misinformed me of the raffle times for ariel and eric, so I take thier word with a grain of salt now. Im hoping they will have a setup similar to the fairytale line, where we can try to pick them up in stores and if we fail we can get them online. If the stores are first come first serve I have no idea how that will work for me... My store is in a mall that closes and opens at a specific time, so I cant exactly go camp out. I kind of see everyone waiting at the mall doors and running to the Disney store when the doors open but that just seems crazy

18 does sound like a lot, but my store had 12 Ariels up for pre-order in July. All this waiting is making me super nervous though, I even had a dream about missing both Anna and Elsa..

Don't get me wrong, there are definitely cast members out there who know what they are talking about and have always been on the mark however there are also others that have no idea or might have misinterpreted things due to their lack of information or understanding. That is sort of why I generally dont believe most of the things mentioned on facebook because a lot of it is from people who have spoken to their CMs and just blurted out what they have been told without thinking about it first whereas with the forum most people are well knowledged with their Disney Dolls so they have a better idea of what information sounds silly and what may be credible. Sort of like the filtration of information is better on the forum than it is on facebook.

That is fair enough and still sounds appropriate especially if your store is a larger Disney Store but proportionally speaking if you think about it 12 out of 6,000 dolls is not that much stock to just keep at one store whereas 18 out of 2,500 dolls is by far a lot greater. Ursula and Eric had lower edition sizes and the most that some stores had of a doll was around 4 dolls (that I can recall) so proportionally speaking that does not sound right at all, especially if they were going to do a set of 4 dolls (which would be around $400 a set) so that wouldnt be fast moving stock at all so to have 18 in one store almost sounds greedy and very ambitious by that the store would be able to sell all the stock held.

Oh yeah, I get that. When Cinderella was coming up I got a bunch of weird information leading up to the release date. If it wasn't for all of you in the forum I would have kept missing release dates. :D Edits: Yes, the smaller edition size is what worries me the most. The stores will get fewer stock, and I was already pretty far back in line when I went to get Ariel (I got to the store around 9am).

Maybe they meant 18 dolls total? 9 of elsa, 9 of anna?

Not sure if this has been posted or not, but I saw this video with the face characters for Anna and Elsa and thought it was really cute! No real movie spoilers, just some characterization and they show off their dresses.

Thanks for the link. The face characters have been met with mixed results on here, though cosplayers like it. Hopefully once the movies out and some minor tweeking, they will be better received.

Also, did anyone notice Disney Store changed the stock photo for the Anna/Elsa two pack? It no longer has the D23 packaging.

I wonder if it was a mistake from the start or if they had some D23 sets to clear and now that they're sold, they changed the photo. My set is on the way and I am secretly hoping to get a D23 sticker on it. Also, this Frozen release is making my head spin and it kind of dampens my excitement. Surprises don't bother me, but I am tired of waiting. I don't think the boys are realistic at this point. Eric was a great idea for a trial male, but these are unknown characters. I also think it's telling that the UK glitch sites we were able to see had Elsa and Anna, but no boys. I am staying away from Facebook. At least on here people are pretty level headed about it and can discuss the pending release with some rational thinking. I am very exited for Anna and Elsa and also for this buying to die down for a while. I'll be ready again by spring :)

I asked my manager tonight at work about the LE dolls and all she told me was that they got an email that the dolls were pushed back until around late November. So possibly the 20th? She doesn't know if our store will be getting them or not though. Sorry it's not much information but it's something. Hope this helps.

I think that person in the Facebook post was referring to the Disney Studio Store getting 18 of each doll...she did mention her source worked for Disney...

I guess that makes sense, didn't realise it was sourced from someone that worked for Disney and I just misinterpreted what they were referring to as "lot" I thought they meant "lot" as in referring to the group of dolls instead of "lot" as in a location or property.

What is the difference between the Disney Studio store and a normal Disney store? Never actually heard of the Studio store before. Based on the name one would assume it is just a Disney store located at the Disney Studios? Which I am assuming is in Cali??? It is sounding a lot like there is no longer a preorder and that these dolls will not be available until Nov 20.

I'm pretty sure the pre-order is out. It seemed odd that they would do a pre-order and then release the dolls only 2-3 weeks later. I'm thinking they are going to release the dolls closer to the actual movie release date as well. Just seems to make more sense to do it that way. I'm going to try and catch my CM manager on Friday and see what is going on. They are very good about telling me what going on with doll releases once they know.

I totally understand the surfing the net and finding stuff you want! I'm a marvel nerd too and I just found these AWESOME figures made by Hot Toys......I must have them now!!!

nooo I really want a pre-order :( I love the little cards you get with them and I like knowing I have one secure. I am very concerned about the possibility of missing these.

but I agree that I think pushing two more guy LE's with this movie release is too much, and too risky. They only just released Eric as the first guy LE, and he was popular, but he also had a "set" and he is an established character. I think I would pass or wait on the guys if they were to be released.

LOL sorry know this is off topic but, yes Hot Toys Marvel figures are awesome! They are smaller than I thought they would be but they are cool. I got the Iron Man Mark VII it is so cool and it looks amazing. You should check out sideshow collectibles (they also sell Hot Toys) if you like Marvel and figures sideshow does some pretty epic figures they are generally bigger than the Hot Toys ones too and don't necessarily require assembly. I must warn you though the figures are awesome that you are going to want to buy them but they are expensive but they let you do payment plans which makes it even easier to end up buying figures left right and center! LOL

Auroradawn I know just how you feel, I really wanted them to be released earlier rather than later, they did the preorder for Merida and Elinor last year and there wasnt that large a gap between when it was released and when the preorders went up so it would have been cool to be able to just get the dolls already.

So much news! I hate not being able to log on while I'm at work. I work where micromanaging and spying is at its best

Anyway, I agree with most of the consensus here. Having the two guys coming out as LE dolls is not very smart of Disney. The movie is released after the 20th (I think?) so why have LE's of characters that have smaller roles and who don't really have a niche out there yet. I mean we haven't seen the movie yet (at least I haven't. lol) so how would they be so sure that people would even like them? The two girls I understand because they are the focus of the movie, but the two guys? I don't mean to be rude or disrespectful to anyone who like them, but they are more like accessories to me :wat:

Yes, there is a Cast Member store (Mickey's of Glendale) on the Disney Studio lot in Glendale, CA. I've never been there, but if I wanted to go, I would need to be signed in by a Disney Cast Member or go to one of the special D23 Days that they have a few times a year (I am a D23 Member). That store is where the WDI pins are released.

Polaris: I actually have been a fan of sideshow collectibles since I was into Buffy as a teenager. I bought a few things from them ^^. I know I was looking at all of there figures....they are just amazing! However, luckily I do only have a few specific ones I would buy. Basically anything from Thor or Wonder Woman. I love mythology so naturally I would love Thor and Wonder Woman! I also tend to like Deadpool he is hilarious (in a somewhat sadistic way)...lol

Back on topic: Me too, I did wish they were being released earlier so I can have all my dollies done for at least a few months until they release Frozen. I'm kinda getting dolled out financially and physically. But I really do want the Frozen dolls, I know I'm really going to like this movie. Most likely it will take my number 2 spot (sorry nothing beats Brave). Plus, I do love Christmas time so this movie just seems so fitting!

Oh wow, that sounds so cool now I really want to go there too haha. Let me know if you ever do end up going as I would love to know what it is like and if it is worth scheduling flights and going there during D23 days as it does sound fascinating, mind you if the only significant variance between that store and a normal store are the type of pins available then it probably wouldn't be worth it but that still sounds pretty cool.

Cool well I would love to see your Hot Topic/Sideshow collection one time if you do end up taking pics and if it's not too much trouble, im sure it would be amazing as their figures are pretty epic. As you can probably tell I have a very expensive taste in figures/dolls which is probably not the best addiction, but the way I see it is that at least it is better than drugs or gambling! LOL

I know what you mean about being dolled out financially and physically, I think the fact that we are so close to doll season being over but Disney seems to be dragging it out makes it worse. This time last year we already knew of all the dolls to be released and were able to relax more once we knew doll season was over for another. I think this time round because of the increase in hype and popularity it just made things more nerve wracking and by postponing releases and the amount of information being leaked/not leaked it just means we would still be on edge about these releases.
