I'm not sure what the procedure is for another person taking the spot. Would that person then have 48 hours to pay or be required to pay immediately?

That's fine, the spot will be up for grabs in 26 minutes since that's 48 hours from when you send out invoices.

Also, the spot isn't officially up for grabs until @Spr175psu posts that it is up for grabs. Then, whoever posts first gets it.
