The HKDL OE winter pins are available now, not sure what the release dates are on the other pins. I'll update when I find out.
 
This isn't pin related, but ShopDisney finally added some Gelatoni merch! A medium size plush, a small Aulani plush, and a small, cross body passholder.

Updated the list! I might add a Stella Lou one too since I'm attempting to collect all her pins as well and need a place to keep track.
 
So since this thread got posted, I never did buy any Gelatoni pins. The thing I wanted to buy, got sold before I had the funds to purchase it and then I didn't know where I wanted to start. Then they really exploded at HKDL, and I was kind of grateful I hadn't started.

But major update!!! We're going to Hong Kong Disneyland in May! We realized that we have enough credit card points to pay for our airfare and a hotel in central Hong Kong to celebrate our 20th anniversary (traditional gift is china...I have changed things up, lol). So we are planning on splurging on the Explorer's Lodge for either 3 or 4 nights (2 days to do Disney, 1 Day to do the gondola and Tian Tan Buddha, and a transfer day, maybe). We are going to finalize dates, and book this weekend. So I hope I am not tempting fate with this post.

I already know I am going to be indulging myself in Gelatoni stuff. I saw the Spring Carnival merchandise, and I hope some of it is still around for our dates. And I keep trying to tell myself I do not need a Stella Lou. I love cats, so that's why I gave into Gelatoni. I have a Duffy, only because he has a Figment shirt and have so far resisted Shellie May. But we'll see how it goes.
 
Ah, that's so exciting! Congrats!

I want to go to Hong Kong Disneyland so bad but I know I'll spend way too much money on Gelatoni and Stella Lou merch. They should have some summer stuff out when you're there but will probably have Spring Carnival items left over. Collecting Gelatoni is a slippery slope. Be prepared, lol.
 
If there is something specific you want from HKDL that you think will be sold out, you can let me know and I may be able to buy it once you finalize your itinerary and trade it to you when you are in Hong Kong. No guarantees on LE and game pins though.

Depending on your itinerary you may be able to catch the tail end of the spring event and/or the start of the new Moana show. Just in case you were deciding between HKDL and another Asian park, the castle is being renovated this year so there's no fireworks if that matters to you.

So I am officially in the Gelatoni collecting club, now. I haven't counted, but I'm guessing I have 10-12 pins after my trip.

I have a lot of work to do. I imagine every seasonal event at HKDL for the near future, is going to have Gelatoni sprinkled throughout. I may have to limit myself to stand alone Gelatoni pins, or maybe sharing with one other character, instead of the ones that have many characters and he is just a little head somewhere. I was really hoping to find this one on my trip, but no luck



The 2017 Pin Trading Day Lanyard and Pin set is the reason I originally asked @Abyssinian28 for a list. I had seen it and coveted it greatly. But I was on spending ban at the time, and by the time I was off, the ones on Ebay in the $35 range were sold. So I still don't have it. So that's my Gelatoni grail, followed by the LE pin with Albert, and the one from Aulani. I did buy the bolo lanyard (the solo Gelatoni one, not the Tsum Tsum one) and it's super cute.

I'll keep an eye out for your Gelatoni ISO's. I see those ones pop up somewhat often and I'd be happy to grab them for you.
 
Because I am anal....

I created a Google Sheet to keep track of the Gelatoni pins. I tried to fill it in with release dates when the Disney Pins Blog had them, or at least a general idea. Prices if they were on Pinpics or the stuff I just bought.

I think I ended up with a couple more than is listed here, but I'm not sure what is new at this point, lol. Trying to look at this list, Pinpics, Disney Pins Blog, Instagram, etc. I've gotten myself confused on what info I pulled from where. It's all blended together, and I'm sure there are some mistakes. I did want to point out that the 2017 Pin Trading Fun Day Passport set...the list here, only mentions the HKDL pin with Gelatoni, but in some images, if you look at the Tokyo pin, Gelatoni is painting a picture in the center of the pin.

It should be viewable for anyone who uses the link. If you PM me your email address you use for Google Doc stuff, I think I can make it so you can edit the file. I broke the edition sizes down into #, OE, Seasonal, and HM since Seasonal is kinda like limited release, even if it isn't marked, and their HM pins are rarer than our HM pins.

And I bought 2 Gelatoni pins off Ebay...

Now to work on my next HKDL pin project...Easter Eggs...I don't know why I am subjecting myself to this kind of torture, since sourcing International pins isn't as easy as just going to Ebay and clicking BIN (at least if you don't want to overpay), but we had fun photographing the eggs throughout the park, and so now I want the pins. Of course, I didn't buy the Incredibles set while I was there....so I'm just starting with the eggs I like.

It looks like you've got the same pins as I've got on my list. I update it as pins are released and I have just about every Gelatoni pin so it should be accurate. Since the Fruity Summer ones haven't been released they are TBD list wise.

 
Annnnd it looks like HKDL released a 13th Anniversary pin today with Gelatoni and Stella Lou. Not sure if it's LE or not...I don't think it is.

Crud, I missed this release by two days! I'm in SHDL now and there are still some Stella Lou jumbos left. Also pin pics says that the mystery boxes are sold out but that isn't true, I bought two of them today at the Duffy gift shop. I didn't get any of the Stella Lou jumbos since it looks like we may be starting hopefully just a gelatoni collection and not Duffy and friends.

Anyway, flight in the morning to tokyo. I'll let everyone know what I find there!
 
Yesterday I saw a geisha walking on the street in Kyoto with a gelatoni keychain. That clinched it! I'm officially collecting gelatoni! I'll upload picture as soon as my wife sends it to my phone.

Just finished two touring days in Kyoto and Tokyo. Tomorrow starts 4 nights in Tokyo Disneyland!
 
The HKDL 13th anniversary pin is OE.

According to CMs on Friday, a new dog based character will be arriving at HKDL in July. No idea what this will mean for HKDL Gelatoni merchandise going forward.

That would be an interesting site to see. One time, I was walking around World Showcase and there were three women in full burqa, but they still found a way to express their Disney side...they all were wearing Minnie Mouse headbands.

Okay, next Gelatoni question. I know the scrapper sellers on Ebay are selling the ice cream pins from the 2017 Starter Set. About 2 months ago, someone on Facebook posted a bunch of pictures of pins that were offered for sale when he somehow found himself on a mailing list for one of the factories that sells scrappers. In those photos, they had the Headband Hidden Mickey pins including Gelatoni. Also, some Magic Access Teacups but not all of them, and not Gelatoni.

Are there any other Gelatoni pins that are known to have been scrapped/counterfeited/overruns/etc?
 

Hmmm, I can't think of any besides the ones you mentioned. Thankfully he's mostly escaped the scrapper scene.

If anyone needs them, I've got the Pancake/Waffle Gelatoni, Teacup Gelatoni and Pretzel Stand Gelatoni up for grabs!
 
Thanks, that's good to know he hasn't been compromised too much yet. I would be interested in the Pancake/Waffle Gelatoni, but I don't have any matches. You can look at my Pinpics to see if there is anything interesting though. I have the teacup, and the pretzel stand one is "incoming." My Pinpics name is same as here, hopemax. My Dad also has trader pins under the Pinpics name SorcerorMulan, but it will take until my next visit for me to get those (I'm in CO and he's in FL)
