Genuine or Fake?

I am currently at Walt Disney World and made four trades with different cast members today.

Can anyone verify if the following pins are genuine or fake?

The lighting isn't the greatest but the pin is gold with maroon/purple. It matches the description on PinPics but matches more the extra note (has a long post, raised text, smooth back, and a nub). I grabbed this one since I hadn't seen it before.

Here is my take for what it's worth. Only going by pictures as I do not have any of these pins personally.

Cheshire - suspect - Reason - The picture on pinpics his back and ears seem to almost touch the top line - Your picture seem to have more empty space between the two. Also Imagineers on the back is misspelled. It should only have one "E" not two. It states this in pinpics, but also one e is the correct French spelling, so I do not think it is a pinpics typo.

Donald - I lean towards suspect on this too - Reason - The metal on either side of the blue border stripe seems much thinker than that of the pinpics picture. Also It looks like there is some yellow on the inside of his mouth where the pinpics pin shows some black. Not much to go on I know, just the differences I see.

Dori - Not sure - The only thing that I see is that on your picture the metal border around the blue on the front seems thinner at the upper left by the top of the D. I just can not tell if that is camera angle though. I have almost never seen a real one of this set on DLR cast members though.

Figaro - Counterfeit - Reason - The pink area in the black could be a mistake, but is consistent with the problems you see on similar counterfeits. Also the brush strokes from the bad finish show through even in the picture, and the logo on the back is real "muddy".

Hope this helps.

The Cheshire used to be on lanyards years and years ago. So, can't say about the one you have. The other 3 have been faked and are all over CM lanyards at WDW. The Donald might be OK, as that set has been for sale from resellers, still in the marked packages. The fakes of the Donald are pretty easy to tell, the colors are usually pretty bad.

I wouldn't trust the Dory or Figaro. I see them way too much.

I've read the how to tell info, but I still don't really have a clue. I'm a bit worried about trading at Disneyland now. (Off to Paris in June)
