We're leaving Saturday night for a few days at WDW. This will be our first time back since we found out about pin trading and I want to make sure we have our bases covered

We're staying at the Yacht Club and I heard about a board that comes out in the gift shop at 5pm, and a 6:30 pin trading activity at the Beach Club shop. Also, the boards at the Swan and Dolphin gifts shops and the 4pm pin book at the pin cart near Boardwalk and the board at the shop at Boardwalk Inn. So that should cover the resorts nearest to us. Did I miss anything there?

As for the parks, I heard about a pin book under the hat and a book at Guest Relations at Hollywood Studios, the African and Canadian outposts and Mousegears at Epcot, Tomorrowland pin cart and Frontierland pin store at the Magic Kingdom, and several stores at DTD. I don't think we're going to have time to go to the Animal Kingdom this trip since we're only going to be there a few days, but other than that, did I miss any of the park pin spots?

Not sure about a board at Yacht Club, but there is a life preserver that they take out if you ask for it. Beach Club has a life vest and lots of CMs with lanyards.

Concierge at both resorts also have a book.

Nothing too spectacular at either resort, but you might find some DLR hidden mickeys on there (that I put).

Are the life preserver and life vest at the gift shops, or elsewhere on the property? This will be the first time we've stayed in that area so I'm at all familiar with where things are. I was just getting my info from the various thread here on the board so some of it could be outdated.

Both are in the gift shops. Just ask at the counter at Yacht Club (there was only one counter) and the package pick-up counter at Beach Club (multiple counters there because they sell ready to eat food too).

At the Boardwalk's sundries shop (outside of Boardwalk Inn on the boardwalk side), there is a pin board that comes out at 7 or 8 pm. We were walking around there one time looking around when the CM said, have you seen our board and directed me to it.

For the most part, I was disappointed by the pins on the CM lanyards at the park. AK was the best (as was Animal Kingdom villas) - which I guess I should add to my trip report. I did get a LE AP Star Wars Weekend pin at Hollywood Studios right before I made my way to the stage area for the Hyperspace Hoopla (but that was about "it")!

Great! Thanks for the info on the Yacht Club, Beach Club, and Boardwalk areas! It will definitely help knowing what the deal is rather than just wandering around aimlessly

Of course you would say you had the best luck trading at AK since that's the one park I don't think we'll be able to go to on this trip :/ I may just have to make time for it now

I stayed at the Swan and Dolphin and they do have a huge pin board at the gift shop. Most Vacation booths in the parks also have pin books too

Thanks! I didn't know about the vacation booths. Does anyone know where some of these might be? I don't remember seeing them the last time I was there

In Magic Kingdom, DVC booths are in Liberty Square next to shooting gallery and by Indy Speedway. In Epcot, they are on the right when you're crossing into the countries, and a small kiosk in American pavilion. In Hollywood Studios, they are in backlot area near the Muppets ride.
Make sure to stop at Guest Relations in each park, their books are usually ok.

Enjoy!!!

Ah it sounds like great fun! I hope you have a fabulous trip and a magical time ... espcially with pin trading! I've never been to Walt Disney World but hopefully some day, lol! Please update us when you get back home with your adventures! May you find all the pins you want!! Take care, *bjr

Ther is a pin book at the candy store in Magic Kingdom. When you enter it is on the right side you have to ask for it.
When entering Magic Kingdom when it opens cast members that are greeting people on
main street usually have good pins.

Oh great!! Thanks so much for that! I've heard about the Guest Relations books, but we never stopped at one. I'll have to make it a point to stop this time and check them out.

When we were there in April, the Confectionary at Magic Kingdom didn't have a book, but an oven mitt behind one of the registers. I wonder if they just replaced the book with the mitt or if they do have both? Hmmmm.....I guess I'll find out next week

Also sometimes at Tony's the greater out front has a pin board, at the pin store in frontier land they have a pin hat, and a big Duffy bear with a vest on that has pins, they also have a wash board with pins. If you go to Epcot they have pin board at mouse gears that come out differnet times during the day. Polonisian resort has a pin board at 5pm in gift shop, the grand floridian has a pin board at 6pm and contemporary has one at 7pm.

I hope you have a magical time and find some really cool pins. Feel free to share your WDW trip with us all when you return. It will hold me over until the next time I can go.

Thanks! My husband and I are going alone this time for his birthday, and kindof also to celebrate our 10th anniversary. It was back in January but we weren't able to do anything for it so we figured we'd splurge and make this trip a combo of both and leave our son with his grandparents for a few days. We're so excited to get on that plane tomorrow and have a real vacation, just us! Can't wait!

Yes, sorry, the Disney Vacation Club booths! (which are plentiful everywhere) I think the point of why they have most pins there is because they want to attract people to convince them to join the DVC
