I'm going to Disneyland this next week, on Tuesday and Wednesday!!! I've never been there for two whole days before. Are there any pins coming out or that are out already that I should get?? If someone wants one I am willing to trade it for something on my want list. Let me know.

Also what are some things you all think I have to do. We don't get to go to Disneyland that often so any advice and suggestions would be great. Thank you so much!!!

Be sure to see World of Color! Fastpasses for the show are given out by the grizzly river run. Be sure to go grab them in the morning to get a good section for later that night. Then show up 45-30 mins prior to the show.

Have fun at Disneyland!

And don't forget to go on the Haunted Mansion!

I absolutely hate the Haunted Mansion! LOL!

Will you be going to DCA? or just Disneyland? If DCA, get there before the park opens so you can get in right when the park opens to ride the radiator spring racers or to get a fast pass (which is distributed right in front of bug's land). Definitely worth it. Beware though that if you get there at any time after 8 a.m., you will have to wait 45 - 1 hour JUST to get a fastpass. Anytime after that lines can get to 3+ hours (and I would suggest coming back another time). Luigi's flying tires -- I would pass on it unless you absolutely can't wait to do it and want to wait in the long lines (no fastpass). Mater's Junkyard Jamboree is suprisingly fun, but again don't wait too long in the line. However, Mater's junkyard jamboree is more fun than luigi's flying tires IMO. Also, if you haven't been there recently, the matterhorn just got redone with new cars. The ride's the same, but the cars are different.

Also get an app which will tell you wait times like mousewait. This allows you to maximize your time since you can tell before hand which rides have long or short waits. Also, make sure to get a fastpass BEFORE you do something long like have lunch. If you have different groups and are waiting for a particularly long line, e.g. a 45 min. line for matterhorn, then have someone take your passes and run to get fastpasses for your group.

As for food, try Flo's V-8 cafe. Not a burger joint -- has great food like sliced pork or turkey w/ mashed potatoes, etc. E.g. diner food that you might find on route 66.

At dusk, get back to cars land to see the place light up. It's a real treat. I was there and they played the song just like the movies. Not sure if they do it every night but even without it it's definitely worth it to see it.

As for pins, each of the different stores in the park will have different types of pins available for purchase.

If you have any other q's feel free to ask. :)

Also, WOC fastpasses do not count towards your limit of fastpasses. E.g. you don't need to wait to get another fastpass after getting WOC fastpasses.

I know that rides and shows are probably the main objectives here, but if you enjoy Disney artwork and history, I'd visit the rotating gallery on Main Street where the old bank was located. It also runs into the lobby of the Opera House that has more memorabilia.

You can also go hunting for all the Hidden Mickeys located throughout the entire park or check out all the second story painted windows on main street. Those windows are all tributes to the people who helped Walt build the Disneyland empire.

Or you can try and hit up all the original rides in the park, like Jungle Cruise, Mark Train Riverboat, Mr Toad's Wild Ride, Storybook Land, Casey Jr Train, King Arthur's Carousel, and the trains that circle the park.

Weird! But I kind of envy it in a way... I'm a big Haunted Mansion fan and love it to death. I love the atmopshere of it, the gags, the characters... My girlfriend, on the other hand, is actually scared by it. In fact, she keeps hiding my Mansion stuff when she comes over because it creeps her out to see it! I would love to be able to experience the attraction in her way at least once.

As for things you can do, well, it's sort of personal based on what interests you. I can give you the list of things I make a point of doing (I would also mention that I live quite a ways from Disneyland, so I go for a week at a time)...

- Treat Main St. USA like its very own land, not just the mall you have to get through to get to the rides. Spend time in the Disney Gallery and The Disneyland Story (aka: the Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln preshow), look at the Emporium window displays, watch the street performances and cartoons in the Main St. Cinema, listen to the phone in the Market House and the ragtime piano at Coke Corner, and check out the remaining vintage machines in the Penny Arcade.
- Food is an intrinsic part of the Disneyland experience, and the ones I feel the strongest associations with are having a Dole Whip in the Enchanted Tiki Room and mint juleps aboard the Mark Twain Riverboat.
- You'll probably be in Disneyland 'till after close, but if you have the time, going for a bite to eat at Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar and then a nighttime stroll around the Disnyeland Hotel grounds and Downtown Disney is a wonderfully relaxing time.
- There's practically nobody back around Big Thunder Ranch during the day's peak hours. It's a nice escape and the goats are so cute!
- Speaking of Big Thunder Ranch, I've found that the Blue Bayou is overrated, but Big Thunder Ranch BBQ and the Plaza Inn were great.
- Since you're going in summer, it will be busy, so prioritize. Think about which rides you really want to go on and develop a strategy for taking on the day (for me, the Haunted Mansion is one of those rides that there would be no point in going to Disneyland if it wasn't open... Other "musts" include Peter Pan's Flight, Enchanted Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, and Indiana Jones, but I go for a week in the off season so that I can ride as many as possible as often as I want... I think the only ride we bypassed last time we went was Casey Jr.!)
