I never asked before, but in light of other events, I will put it out there. Lest anyone else be accused of something, just because they didn't put a huge expose with their concerns without any proof than hairs on the back of their neck.

Last year, there was a period when traders were going a little gaga for certain Gomes pins. Feb or Marchish I think. Selling stuff to afford certain ones, trading for their grails, etc. I hadn't looked at the prices for them in years. Last time, I paid attention all the ones I wanted were way, way out of reach. So for a couple weeks I started looking, and I noticed that there were several auctions, more than I was comfortable with for this pin: http://pinpics.com/cgi-bin/pin.cgi?pin=49689&sid=3550

There were like 3 or 4 active, and then several more in completed. So about 15% of the total pin run had sold or was for sale within the 3 months Ebay stores listings. I checked today and there was only 1 in completed, so it does not seem like there continues to be a large number of these. I'm not so much concerned with large re-runs of this pin, but I do wonder what about the actual factory seconds that would have existed at the time Disney's run was completed. This pin was originally sold in 2007 so it would have been after the time when people clued on to how much money could be made from selling the remainders.

Also, I have similar concerns surrounding this pin, and maybe the other ones in the set: http://pinpics.com/cgi-bin/pin.cgi?pin=23316&sid=3667

Similar time frame, and a similar number of them seemed to be showing up. I have looked off and on, and this one and a few others from this set seem to show up with BIN prices below $20 and even $15, from time to time, which seems low for a DA100 pin, IMO. Even an unpopular one. And sold by a seller that I have my questions about.

I know these two pins aren't going to be on most people's radar, but if anyone has been seeing a lot of these in trade books. Or was keeping track of DA sales back in the day, and knew if some seller's were buying 20 of them at once (with unpopular styles, this may be a possibility). Although, I would still find it a little too coincidental that someone happened to be liquidating that particular style when I was looking for it.

I know I got a FAKE Masterpiece pin from Margi Deluca - Rottenruby. And, I know that last summer a known Ebay seller tried to sell me 5-10 full sets of the 4th of July pins -not on card (I returned them). Which is is why I started selling off my 4th of July series pins.

I believe you are correct about both -but I all I can say is that someone here on the board claimed to get a bad Gomes Cinderella.

Here is what I remember from last year for

There was a member here who mentioned that his uncle passed and left behind some pins. He offered those pins first on DPF, among them were and . His pins did not get a lot of attention here, so he put them up for auction on Ebay. He had many other pins and sometimes full collections that seemed to be legit though. It is possible that some people might have grabbed more than 1 of those pins.

I have purchased 2 of my pins from the same person. They have their backing cards, baggies and all. So, I hope that those are legit too.

On the other hand, I am not feeling well about . In less than 8 months, this one appeared 6-7 times from the same seller.
