Good price to pay for Beloved Tales Pins?

Well...

I only have 4 BT Pins and I paid $250 for Tangled, $20 for Lion King when it first came out, $20 for Aladdin and the Aurora I managed to trade a not very expensive pin for.

They defintely do vary depending on how popular the films are.

The most expensive that I have seen recently are Tangled, Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Up and Lion King. Aladdin has sold for in the past for $200 I think maybe more?

Luckily we finished our collection when BTs started getting hot. After Tangled hit, they all jumped in value because a lot of collectors decided to start collecting the entire series. I would recommend investing in them now because what seems like a high price now will be nothing compared to what they might go for once everyone trying to get them gets their hands on them and supply becomes low. I remember thinking Pinocchio for $80 was over priced and saw it jump to over $150. Now people would kill to have that same pin for 80.

Get what you can get your hands on now as prices continue to rise. Good luck!

Plus...they r soooo up and down....examples i traded not that hard for sleeping beauty...it sat in my trader boox for months it was lije 46 bucks on ebay...last month i traded it..and what do u know...it went crazy on ebay and sold for 161....ugggh. kicks self...

You're telling me! I sold mine for $20 a year after it came out when it was not going for anything :P

I know, that tangled BT is a crazy price, oh what I would give for a tangled BT!!! I think as long as you feel the price is fair then go for it, if u feel its too much wait, you may find a better deal comes along!

Actually the UP one usually sells around $75. That is how much I bought mine for. Ratatouille is about $50-$70.

It seems like the older the Beloved Tale pin is the harder it is to find. I paid $80 for my Lion King BT and I think it's a great deal now :)

I paid $180 for the BaTB beloved tales pin and I was really put off on buying it. But now I feel like i got a good deal.

It's all relative. Depending on your level of interest in the particular theme, it's all in what you are willing to pay. How much is reasonable = how bad do you want it? Sometimes more than others, so if it feels okay to you, then go for it! Some will come down in time after the initial furor and rush to get them is over......buttttt that doesn't mean there will any to find by then, even if the demand is down, so it's all part of the game. (OMG....kid just read that over my shoulder and brought back bad images by immediately saying "I lost the game") :p

I got some of the newer ones for good prices when they came out and got lucky and picked up Sleeping Beauty, 101 Dalmatians, Robin Hood, Alice in Wonderland and Bambi each for under $100 just by finding co-ops, good deals and sales.
Basically, it depends on the pin and how you feel about it. If you find an older one for a good price, go for it. Especially if they're under $100. :)
If you're going for the whole collection, keep an eye out for trades, co-ops and good prices. Otherwise, start saving.

I gave up collecting BT. After Tangled came out, I just decided this pursuit was not worth it. I still want the ones that go with the movies I collect. I know Peter Pan goes for 80+. On a good note, they make good traders lol. I had 5 last week when I added them to my traders, now I only have one left. I think they are beautiful pins, but as I was looking at the Bed nobs and Broomsticks pin I kept asking myself why I own this. I have never even seen Bed-nobs and Broomsticks.

You've never seen Bedknobs & Broomsticks? You totally need to watch it! It has Angela Lansbury, the guy who plays the father in Mary Poppins (David something or other). It's quite cute!

I couldn't even spell it right, so no I haven't lol. I think I have tried but feel asleep. Maybe I'll give it another go, since I love Mary Poppins. :)
