Grail Pins that you want

Ok I am newer to collecting. I should clairlify I have been collecting some for years. But over the last few month became more serious in collecting. So I have been looking at your Grail pins that you want. So I guess what I am wondering, when you decide or call something your grail pin, I know its a pin you really want. But what I dont know when you think of your grail is it more of how much the pin cost, T/W ratio, Hard to find. Or is it just a pin you really like and hope to get soon and none of the others are a factor. I am just thinking can a grail pin be a pin that you could find for around 30.00 on ebay or is it more of a pin that is 75+... I am just thinking about what might be some of my grail and I know mine may not be as big of a deal as others since I am new at this.

For me I have a couple grail pins but I mostly collect Oswald pins so it's hard enough that he's not too popular and expensive when he does pop up. So i guess any Oswald pin is my grail (except for The 110 legacy Creation of Oswald the lucky rabbit pin is like my ultimate grail just because it's a sick pin)
The way I see it is when I've collected all my Oswald pins I'll move on to another movie or character so I'm not spending too much or being overwelmed.

I have my Grails in my signature. I feel they are a grail because I really like the style and the pin itself. Most of the pins in my signature can be found on eBay for around $20.00-$30.00. There is one that is $100.00+. so for me it is how I like the pin that matters.

Oslwald is one of my favorites as well, I am going to try to get them all, but it will not be easy, my next would be belle with maurce, So I guess for me it is not the price but more the meaning behind the character, or just really like the character such as oswald because it is not he is not really popular it is fun to try and get them.

Three pins are currently my grails; Pin 7652: Disney Auctions - Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Series (Sleepy), Pin 58356: DisneyShopping.com - Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs 70th Anniversary (Jumbo), and Pin 63998: DisneyShopping.com - Snow White Pin (Jumbo). They are pins I haven't seen come up on ebay and haven't been able to trade for. The Snow White jumbo (pin63998) is a pin I've almost won a few times it was on ebay but lost. I almost got it recently but I refused to pay $100 for it when it usually sells for half that. They are pins on my most wanted list that I just haven't been able to find and will be hard to find. They are also pins I stalk ebay for.

Yeah Oswald is a hard character to get anything for. I'm happy with what I have of him though (ie: pins, ears,cups and what not). I agree also that he has some meaning to me collecting him, he was my first Pin. Plus I work at Disneyland so i have some CR Oswald pins.

I hadn't really figured it out until I had to think about it to answer your question!!! :shock::shock::shock: I guess my grails are actually pins that I need to finish some of my favorite sets! They are pins I can't afford to buy on ebay... or I would and they wouldn't be in my signature! :sad: I wouldn't care if they were only $5, that isn't the part that matters! I love the rest of the set of each of these and really want to complete them so I can frame them and get them up on my wall! :hsd: But.... it's doubtful I'll get the most holy of my grails.... Minnie as Alice. I have the others from the set... Minnie as the Queen of Hearts, Minnie as Lilo, and Minnie as Jessie. They are the my absolute favorites. If I sold all of my collection, I'd keep them. Even if I never get Minnie as Alice.

I had a dream once that I found it on ebay for $50. Yeah... right. I saw it on there recently for $300. I only WISH it was inexpensive. I wouldn't like it any less if it were $3.

My HG pins are pins that I want because I like them, not because they are popular (although some are) or because they are the "it" pins to have. The HG pins left on my list do tend to be on the more expensive side only because I've been able to acquire the not so expensive ones already. I don't like to spend big $$$ to get them so that's why they are still not mine

My grail pins are all in my signature with the crowns either by them or over them (except the top banner of the stained glass pins, they are all grail-level because that set is my most wanted set...in the world haha) and the reason I have them as grails is because honestly, they are the nicest pins I've ever seen. However, if they were OE and were easy to find, I'd have them all already and thus they wouldn't be on my signature but rather other pins would be, this is why most people's grails are really htf, because if the pin was easy to find, they'd have it already Personally, I would just make my grail pins the pins I want more than any other pin out there, your top of the top if you think about it that way

Grails are the pins you want most in your collection that you don't have regardless of price. The further along you get collecting pins the more and more expensive your grail list will get as the pins will get harder and harder to obtain. Some of my grails cost a lot but others not so much. I decided to list the more current pins that I really want as opposed to my Holy Grails that I will probably never obtain. You can choose how you want your own personal grails to go.
