Love the PTD (PTS) cat pins! Is there any sense that these rules have stabilized, or does it really just seem to matter who is working the counter?

I didn't know about the smaller plant that supplied the DSF ice cream.
Dreyer's is a big mass producer of ice cream. The plant here in Bakersfield makes 1/3 of what its brands use nation wide. Oh and its 3 brands of ice cream in that plant. Nestle, Haagen dazs, and Dreyer's all made in a big plant that takes up a few blocks and has rail car tracks and docks on site.

Dewar's Candy shop ( they make the real DSF ice cream) is a small shop in the old part of town. The shop opened in 1909. Yes I said 1909. They have been at the same shop all this time and make things the same way that they always have. They make very good ice cream and ice milk. If you ever get to try this shop. You will put it on your list for any trip that you are close. Its just that good. Oh side note. You can order the candy online. So if you just want to try some very good home made candy. Give it a try.

Hope that helps a little. I know its hard to get the names right and they sound close to the same. But trust me.... Dewar's is 100 times than any mass made stuff. Dreyer's is cheap and can be bought in any store. Expect to pay a little more for the good stuff. well worth it. yummy
