Hi,
I'm going to do a trade with someone called Denovan on pinpics ,he's from Belgium .
he wants my vinylmation Bullseye chaser pin for his Dlp Tootles pin ,
I agreed to the trade and he now said he wants me to mail first and then he'll send when he's got my pin.
i don't normally check up on anyone but due to losing a LOT a pins from bad traders who never sent me anything in return over the last year or so which was really sad and disappointing , I do now sometimes check people i've never traded before with .
I just thought I'd do a check on Dizpins before i mail tomorrow or wednesday and I noticed he has absolutely zero references ,
it occurred to me that he may be new so I looked at pinpics but he owns nearly 1200 pins so he's nowhere near new ,
my alarm bells are ringing and even though it's just a average trade I would really appreciate anyones advice whether this is safe to go ahead with or not ,
please help if you can, thanks from Sabrina.

Don't do it!! D: Unless he can provide with some other feedback from ebay or another site to prove he's trustworthy.

It's actually considered a courtesy that the person with no or little feedback sends first anyways!

I would kindly refuse the trade. I think it's a bit weird that someone with no references asks to mail out first. If anyone should ask that, it'd be you.

+1. Let him know that you have plenty of references and he has none and you would feel comfortable with him sending his pin out first, etc.

Don't do it!!! If your doing this thru pinpics and you don't get your pins from this person....good luck in getting any help from pinpics. I filed on pinpics, against someone in the Orlando area, and I have yet to get a response from the pinpics mods. I filed well over a week ago, maybe 10 days, and not a peep. The person who stole my pins account is still live, so they are free to continue to rip people off. I guess pinpics doesn't care or only helps who they want...don't know. So, with that being said, it might not be a chance you want to take if you're uncomfortable with the trade.

I am generally uncomfortable when someone asks me to "mail first." I think this is particularly true in this case because you have good references and this other trader has none. Why should you be required to extend yourself? Trust is often an element of pin trading, but foolishness simply is not. I would either ask this person (who seems to be willing to have someone "mail first") either to mail first themselves or to politely decline the trade for whatever reason you are comfortable giving.

Best of luck to you!

thanks for your help everyone , I'm not going to do this trade ,it's too risky ,thanks for all your advice .
please close.

Glad to see you are taking the advise they have given you. I was personally scammed from a guy from Belgium.
He scammed a lot of people on pinpic. He went by different name and ID . He did it before and he might be active again even though
I reported him to pinpics. I believe he was banned. But all you have to do is use any other computer than yours to be back at it.
So yes be very careful, specially when the trade is more on your favorite then it is for them.
Good luck
