help me authenticate my pins?

hi everyone i have a couple pins i need help with:

ariel piscees zodiac pin:
has part of the color in the band of her tail missing and some color missing near the hidden mickey
scrapper? counterfeit? or real?

and

a turtle from toy story midway mania

it has a black printed number on the back...it looks real though so i'm not sure

thoughts?

I have the Pisces pin. I don't see any color missing from those areas.

I think asking in the Pin Comparison forum usually helps with these sorts of things, and you definitely might want to specify the pin you're talking about. There's more than one Pisces pin in the Pinpics database. Are you talking about the hidden Mickey Pisces, I think that one has Ariel on it?

I think part of the problem is that you need to have a certain number of posts before you can post pictures & attachments on the forum. I ran into this problem when trying to post a picture a few weeks ago.

As for the pin with the number on it, I purchased a pin brand new on the card from WDW and it had a number printed on the back. Perhaps this is a new way for them to identify real vs fake pins? This is just speculation, I'm no expert in any way.

yeah i somehow am able to post the full link to my photobucket but not my individual pictures...maybe i'm just doing something wrong...idk it seemed pretty straight forward. lol.

hmmm maybe. idk it did seem intentional to me, like it wasn't printed there by someone else...but then again i don't know i'd just never seen one like that before...maybe i should check the ones i just bought...

The printed numbers on the backs of newer pins is common - they started the practice at least a year ago with disneystore.com and DSF pins.
