THIS IS A PIN EMERGENCY! None of my chrome pin backs will come off of my pins.
I'm starting to freak out because I really don't want my (expensive?) pins to be stuck on this lanyard forever...!

What do I do? Help me, pleeeeeeeeaaaaase! Anyone. I know you guys can't see the effect but they seriously won't come off.
One of the sides of the backs lifted up my nail from my finger from trying to pull them off. I'm shocked!

Oh no! Hope someone can help you, I've never seen these pin backs before. Maybe with a tweezers try to pull them off very carefully, I really don't know what else you could try

Thanks, honey! I couldn't believe I ended up lifting my nail from finger bed. Crazy! I thought they were supposed to protect my pins and not damage me in the process! Haha.

Are you new to these? I had a hard time with them at first. You can't just pull one side, but have to pull both sides apart from eachother. Basically grabbing the groove between the plunger and pinback with your thumb and forefinger and gently squeezing works the best for me.

That is an awesome lanyard btw

I think I get what you're saying but that's what I've been doing! They still won't come off. I've literally been working at my lanyard for half an hour. I'm starting to get really frustrated.

Thank you!

Those really art some beautiful pins on that lanyard. I would be really careful and stop trying until someone can give you a different advice because the last thing you want happening is the post coming off, that would be absolutely terrible. Are the chrome backings like the locked pin backings where they make a new groove into the post? I've never seen that pin before to know how it works Wish I could be of help.

They look like the type where you lift the top 'hat' part straight up (should move about an 1/8") and then it should slip off. You might have to hold the bottom part down when you left the top part up.

Hi Alexa, can you just squeeze together and pull straight up?thats how they look you can do that too,and if so you hold them and have Brandon do it...or go to a jeweler maybe they have a special tool to remove them, good luck kiddo

I use these. Squeeze the middle then lift up. you might have to wiggle them a little until you get the hang of it but they will come right off when you do it right. LOL... don't freak... they are suppose to keep your pins from falling off. Yours sound like they work pretty well!

Ok, i had this happen to me once. Its the plunger style you can buy off EBay....

I had to stop and put it away for a bit because i got so frustrated I was about to break it.

So first breathe.... a Post can be repaired if it breaks. I know someone who does it.

Now, play with another normal one for a minute, and feel how it comes on and off then feel the stuck one to see why its different. In my case it was because the plunger top was stuck partially out, and wouldnt go all the way down. And that made it not want to release. Kind of like a locked car door that isn't all the way shut. It wont open, but it aint closed either! very frustrating.

I fiddled with it patiently for about a half hour before I managed to get the plunger to drop down fully, then be able to pop and pull it off. I threw that bugger out after that!
