Hi Everyone
I need your help with something,I have Windows Live email
I had to change my email to googlemail(for PP only),NOW I get trade requests through Pinpics
and they think I am new..and I got outragous offers this morning..GRRRRR!!THEY WERE horrible!
Why I am posting here is .Pinpics trade requests will not go through Windows Live email
Is there a setting I have to set to get them from Pinpics? I have the ATT for server
If anyone can help I really would appreciate it.

I have my ID/email NOT showing as I was getting spam for ads through other users
My ID is showing now but not my email as I had to change itcause ATT will NOT accept Pinpics requests
this is so frustrating !

I don't think anyone really looks at emails when setting up trade requests. I think you are just getting bad requests pecause people are setting bad bad requests and it has nothing to do with you or your email account. Who knows, you could have been getting them all along but they were getting blocked by your email somehow. :dunno:

I just got a reply to a request I sent out"He goes"Since you are NEW to Pinpics,I would like to counter-offer and it was horrible and they wanted me to send"FIRST!

I wrote him back saying"I am not NEW!I have over 3000 DRC refs and it just irks the heck out of me

I don't know if this will help but here it goes. I have Time Warner as my internet carrier but I only use my AOL account. Even though I have the Time Warner. With a cable or DSL commection, AOL is free if you download thir highspeed program. I forget what it is called but I'm sure you will see it or they can help you. I'm about to change to AT&T but I wi sti use my AOL. I hope this works as I am about to do the same thing.

Judy, it has to do with your settings in Windows Live email. My hubby uses this and I will ask him tonight how he got his to work. He uses Sprint so hopefully it will be the same. I would call AT&T and ask for a supervisor. Sometimes the people who "help" you are dumber than a box of rocks.
 
Sorry about your difficulties Judy. I get bad trade offers all the time if it is any consolation to you including an outregous one this morning.

I think you might be able to set up filters to direct pinpics requests to your "inbox" but I don't know the options on at&t.

The pinpics offers do not have a set address for the "from" field, but they have the same subject as "
Pin Pics Trade Request"

Can you maybe set a filter for subject line? I have yahoo mail and yahoo allows filters for subject. If that is allowed, than you can set a filter with "Pin Pics" title/subject to go into your inbox.
 


Oooooohhhhh....you need to get your references on Dizpins switched over to your new email. When they look up your new address they will see nothing there and think you are new. All of your references are still on your old email. Contact Pinpics, they should be able to help you switch them over.
 
Well the guy that sent me my requests"says is counter-offer still stands(lopsided)even though he knew I was NOT new to trading
I will remember NOT to send a request to him anymore

To be honest, it shouldn't matter if someone is new or not - that whole attitude of "I'm making a poor counter off because you're new" is just wrong. It's a shame that there are so many out there happily ripping people off and trying to take advantage of people that are new to trading.
 
Ah, Judy I know how frustrated you must be. I recently updated to Windows Live Mail, Pinpics trade requests have been coming through fine, I didnt have to make any adjustments to the settings. My only problem with Live Mail is that its slowing down my computer because its using up all the memory to operate.

With regards to lopsided offers, I have had alot lately. Traders have been responding to my trade offers with counter offers wanting three of my pins for their one, and are totally lopsided. But also, they havent offered the pin I was originally after. Rather irksome!

Good luck with your problem, I dont know what to suggest!
