Oh we have 2 dogs that bark anytime someone uses the elevator - hence the going downstairs.lol

And "too many more to go" is so true. We will have many sleepless Monday nights for the next 6(?) weeks OY!
 
I've been keeping an eye on this thread all morning and what a shambles. This is why I worry so much because it's like our luck/fate (whatever you wanna call it) lies in the hands of someone else.

Each year we hear of a different problem and it's just too much of a stressful release for everyone to have these sort of problems. They should not be happening.
 
So the dolls were released nearly an hour early for sale. I got up at 3am only to find out they were already gone. I am now writing a long nasty email to disney. Very unhappy

Im so sorry, I was afraid of that. I don't blame you, Id be so angry too. I am EST too but I'm a night owl so it's easier just to stay up. Now I might be afraid to ever do it any other way!
 
I remember when this happened to us in the UK with the second set of March Frozen dolls. Pretty much no one in the UK got a set as they went on sale an hour earlier than they should've. As much as we kicked up a fuss and complained disney just don't care because the dolls sold out which is what they want.

You'd think such a high profile release they'd have strict procedures in place. Yet something seems to go wrong to each year time and time again.

I know I've said it a million times now but God help us on 3rd November.
 
I can't believe the went on sale an hour early. Luckily I woke up early and checked and was able to get a set. I guess I'll be up all night on November 3rd just in case.
 
I'm thinking maybe it was because they had the D23 link already up? It's hard to stay up late especially with a full time job when you have to wake up in the morning. I'll be setting my alarm for 2AM instead of 3 and crossing my fingers.
 
Thank goodness I didn't want anything, went to bed last night because I got annoyed with not being able to see the products. Really hoping Disney gets themselves together for Frozen Fever.

Honestly I think that was the problem. I wish they had announced the lineup in a normal blog post or FaceBook announcement, because clearly creating a link months in advance for a pre-order none of us could use until today was nothing but trouble. I wasn't going to pre-order the whole set, but I really feel for those who were and missed out.

Merch and display dolls are in stores. The dolls look gorgeous! I love Ariel's tail and, odd enough, the Hag's outfit. My store didn't have all the merchandise, but they had what I wanted, journals and mugs. The mugs are really lovely. Someone asked about the journals - the quality is nice IMO, though I think the Art of Jasmine one was a bit better. The pages inside are similar to Art of Jasmine. The page thickness is good and the image on the inner pages is the same as on the cover, and in color. Son journals had bent covers though, so it would probably be best to choose it in person rather than online if you have the option.
 
I purchased a Belle doll last week and tracking hasn't updated since Thursday. It was supposed to be delivered on Saturday. After Disney's doll fiasco I really didn't need this not my day!
 
So im going to be trying for Ariel/Urusla who to me is the nicest in this collection and I much prefer this Ariel and Urusla over the 17 inch dolls!! And I want to get the Elsa set but can't decide what I prefer out of Rapunzel and Snows set? Which looks better in person Snow or Rapunzel?
 
I went to my Disney Store today and picked up all the mugs and the Frozen bag. I called disneystore.com to try cancel my online order since it's cheaper to pick it up in store. I just had no idea that my store got nearly everything! They hadn't gotten the purses or wallets before. I'm going to return the Frozen bag though. Now that I've walked around my apartment with the bag, it's just a bit too wide/big for me. I'll stick with my Dooney Princess Crossbody.

After seeing the dolls in person, I've also decided that I really only want to get Rapunzel/Gothel. They all look really pretty, except for the Ariel/Ursula set, but I know that I really should only get my most favorite set. I may end up with Elsa/Hans, but other than that I won't be getting any of the others. Hook's hat being sideways really bothers me and the way they just stuck Tink in the front corner is a bit of an eyesore to me. When I go back tomorrow to return the bag I'll pick up the Elsa and Rapunzel journals. They're really gorgeous!
 
Wow I'm surprised you rank Ariel/Urusla as the least favourite! Everyone I have showed pictures to say the Ariel one outshines the others, to me the rapunzel is my least favourite! But I can't decide if to get Rapunzel or Snow as I prefer Rapunzel as a character but think the snow set is slightly nicer.
 
I plan on getting all of them, but if I had to choose only two I would pick Snow White and Peter Pan---mainly because these are characters I don't already have in doll form, and because they are different than anything that's come before. I don't have any Ariel dolls, but I'm not feeling this set to be honest. I may feel differently once I have them in-person.

I'm worried that I may eventually have to minimize my collection because I'm already seriously lacking space for the dolls I have, and I only started collecting in 2014. At the rate Disney is going with these dolls, I'm starting to realize it is just not feasible to collect them all.
 

I'm sorry to hear that . I'm glad I don't collect a lot of the dolls, as I can't afford to go for full sets and am only interested in owning certain characters. Even with that in mind though, I am running out of places to put Disney items in general so I can relate. I have no idea where I am going to put Peter and Hook. I am either going to have to sell some things or move them to different parts of the house, which isn't an ideal situation seeing I am still living with my parents. I guess that is why so many people are stressed out over the doll releases this year. I don't think Disney has ever released this many dolls in the same year before have they?

Also, let's wait to see how long it takes for this order to ship. What a joke!
 
So I totally blew it. I mentioned to my fiancé about the doll release and he looked at them online and was like I would have bought those for myself and then probably given them to you. :eek2:And then I went to the disney store to see if they had lithographs and the dolls are awesome.
