I was planning on getting Ariel & Ursula only just because she is in my top favorite Disney movies & would go nicely with my three 17" dolls & designer fairytale of the Little Mermaid. But for some reason I can't justify $140 (CDN) for two dolls that are suppose to be complete separation because they're heroes AND villains. I'm hoping they would do wave 2 next year & have Jasmine/Jafar as I thought they would've done so for this year. If I had the choice to choose instead of Ariel, Rapunzel & Gothel wins because of how their interaction actually works out for them. Plus their artwork is really gorgeous. Also, their dioramas when I saw them at the D23 Expo was beyond amazing!! though I thought they were gonna sell the at Expo cause I was reading somewhere that they might sell them at the store but that never happened lol. I'll just show up on the day they sell them & if I happened to get picked during the raffle, I'll get them for sure :]

But for now I'll only get the Ariel mug since it was the only item I wanted from this whole collection. Which is convent because my outlet store got some of the mugs in, which I was very surprised to see. Saves me time to go out in the city to check it out.
 
After seeing the stock photos. I think my latest ranking is 1. Snow, 2. Elsa, 3. Peter Pan 4. Rapunzel and 5. Ariel .
 
I personally think Ariel looks great in terms of her face, hair, makeup, and so on. However, I do think her top ruins her overall look. The tail isn't the greatest either, but I still think it looks pretty great. Keep in mind that I am going by in-store photos as I haven't been able to go to my store and check them out in person (i'm not driving 40 minutes away just to look at some dolls and come back :lol. I still think she looks good overall though and I don't think any of the dolls look flat out terrible. Though I think they definitely could have been handled better

I was sooooo excited for Peter and Hook when they were initially revealed, but now I am actually starting to question if I am going to get them or not. They look really cramped in their box, Tinkerbell is positioned in the weirdest spot, and Hook's hat is KILLING ME. Where Peter Pan is my favorite movie I will probably get them and love them in person, but the pictures are honestly starting to make me doubt.

I wish Peter and Hook had more detail to their outfts, making them my least favorite based on that. Still, they are so unique. Still want.

I know, I'm just so excited to have dolls of new characters that there's no way I'm passing up either the Peter Pan set or Snow White with the Hag. I am NOT in any way a deboxer but this is the first time I might seriously consider taking my dolls out to display them differently. Although I do like how Peter Pan looks like he is flying. I thought that was a cute idea.
 

I agree that Ariel looks great as a doll, but her outfit really brings her down and it's really unfortunate!

This is exactly how I feel about the Peter/Hook set! I was so excited, but Tink being positioned in the front is too distracting, Hook's hat being on the side bothers me to no end, and the way the back of his shoes look really bother me too. It's really unfortunate too because I was so excited for this set, but now I'm not feeling it. I'm ok with this though because after finally seeing them in person, I really only want Rapunzel which saves me lots of money! lol
 
While I can see what people are saying about Ariel's top but to me her face and hair and the sequinned tail are so perfect I can overlook the top. The outfit on the 17 inch Ariel was much worse imo, the infected petal like tail was gross and the plastic bra with added rubbish dangling off it, and the stiff hair and the bad in box pose and the makeup was all wrong, I love Ariel but to me ️️their was no redeeming qualities to the 17 inch doll wereas this new Ariel the only thing I'm unsure on is the top. I also think Urusla looks amazing without the netting skirt that the 17 inch had.

What does Snows hair look like in person? In the promos I loved it, but the in store pics it looks kinda puffy and messy, I hope if I get one with bad hair that it's fixable. And can anyone please confirm Rapunzels dress colour, in some pictures it looks like it's a beige dress but others it looks like the top half is purple.
 

I think with Snow's hair, it'll be a hit or a miss. I didn't get a very good picture of the Snow on display at my store, but based on that picture it looked nice. For Rapunzel's dress. The top and the skirt are two different colors. Her top is a darker purple while the skirt is a light purple color.

Thanks for the pic,I am glad it is infact purple and not beige! I actually really like the Rapunzel set, love that she has a better likeness than previous Rapunzel dolls. The only thing I would change is to pull Abit of hair down so her forehead looks smaller.
 
Having such a hard time deciding on the dolls right now... I decided to limit myself to 2 sets only because I have to order online (I can't get into the city on weekdays). I know for sure I'm going for Peter Pan, but I'm so torn between Snow White and Ariel. Originally I was intent on getting Ariel, but now that I've seen the pictures of Snow...

Completely agree with you here. Considering how much I will be spending I really don't want to debox, but this is a set that begs to be displayed properly... if only to get Hook's hat on!






OMG your outlet got mugs?! I wonder if ours did... may have to try and make a trip in this weekend.

The lighting makes it look weird. I have another picture of Rapunzel where the skirt looks a bit more purple because there isn't so much lighting. If you do get the set, I'd love to see pictures of how you did her hair! Her hair just needs a bit more volume and brought down a bit over her forehead.

Rapunzel set is the only one that doesn't look bad even in this box. Rest of them need to be unboxed
 
I really love the Rapunzel set, and I like Peter. I liked Snow's dress but the way they're displayed in the box feels cramped. I'm actually not going to be going for any of them now. I originally planned to only get Rapunzel but I decided the money would be better used for my Disneyland trip instead.
 
I would say my top pick is Snow and the Hag and my least is Peter Pan and Hook (I don't like how you can see skin by his boots)
 

Haha yeah for some weird reason they received the Peter Pan, Ariel, & Rapunzel mugs & said they weren't suppose to get them but they did lol. I would try giving them a call first to save you the trouble tho
 
I got two mugs on the UK site Mugs are my weakness! I got Rapunzel/Gothel and Elsa/Hans.
 

That bit about saving money is one positive way of looking at it :lol:. Still, I have wanted Peter Pan dolls for so long now and its just disappointing that they didn't turn out nearly as nice as I had originally hoped. Looking at them some more, I do still like the dolls themselves but they aren't executed nearly as well as they could have been. I think Hook's hat is what's bugging me the most. It just looks so off and looks nothing like what Hook's hat is actually supposed to look like (and he is lacking a lot of detail on his clothes). I think I am still going to go for them, so I might actually debox them and just get rid of Hook's hat all together seeing its the thing that is bugging me the most :dunno:.

I'm so sad
Yesterday I ordered an Ariel compact mirror and I was so happy that I got one because we have only limited stock in germany. They didn't even sell the shirts.
And today... I received a message :coffee: that my order has been canceled because it was actually already sold out.
And now it is not even listed anymore. :cry:

Does anyone know if the DFDC merchandise will be restocked online?

Would it be very expensive for me to order from the us online store?

I thought... maybe you could help me? :roll:

The cheapest option would be to order it from the US store and have it shipped to someones house. If you want $75 worth of merch, you can get free shipping to that persons house. I have no problem PMing you my address and having the compact (and/or other merch) shipped to my house and having me ship it to you. I've done in multiple times in the past for people.

If anyone outside of the US wants the merch, I have no problem shipping it out for you. Just PM me.

There is a chance the merch will be restocked in Europe closer to the release of the dolls but you'd have to watch the website to see.
