That was relatively pain free! I got my email at 3:02 and I bought a Chip and Dale holiday mug to go with my doll :) Happy Windsday (accurate in that it's incredibly windy here!)

I have tried that code with MANY things...tsums, clearance items, t-shirts, nothing has worked! Fine print said no limited editions...but it also says seasonal items (or something like that) - I've tried with what I thought were just standard stuff...it will not work even when over 40 bucks.

That stinks, but it kind of figures with Disney lately. Seriously, though, it's just $10. They should allow it on more stuff with all the money people spend. I had the Animators' Rapunzel deluxe set in my cart to use to load up the free shipping and it allowed the code to load, but not sure if it would have gone through as I moved the doll to favorites when I got Rapunzel and Gothel in there.

I kept talking myself in and out of getting Punzie for the last couple of weeks and was sure I'll pass until the an hour before release and I caved.. Well hubby sort of convinced me to cave, said just get it or you're gonna drive me crazy.lol

Yeah, Jasmine will show up in stock I think once the site fully updates and refreshes....cruel and unusual punishment for east coast shoppers.

Well, I bought the Rapunzel and Mother Gothel set because they were my second favorite, Snow White being my first. So excited to get the set, but I don't think I will get any of the others . . . I like how this set is displayed, it's like a piece of 3D art to me.

I fell asleep and thought I missed The Rapunzel and Gothel set but they are still available!!!:wat: I'm hoping that Ariel and Elsa last a while as well but I doubt it especially Elsa. I will make sure to be awake the next two weeks so I can get them!

I feel bad for the regular shoppers. Website goes live at 4 a.m. east coast time and Aladdin, Jafar and Rapunzie are all sold out!
Since they are back in stock this morning it seems like Disney is doing a double release when dolls go out of stock late at night before the site even goes live.... one for the night code shoppers, and one for normal folk. Which I think is totally fair. Wedding Jaz though never even appeared on the site - which I understand why...but it seems strange to have been there yet not ever there for people to see.

My store had 16 dolls and I was 12/13th to be called. I was starting to get sad for my first raffle til my name was called :)

My store had 18 sets and 17 people standing around. I've never heard such a cheer go up as when the manager called out, "We have dolls for everyone. Just get in line and we'll check you out!" My guess is that Elsa will be
more difficult Rapunzel is still available online (U.S. Disney Store as of 9:45 EDT).

Im uk based, i tried for an hour to get the rapunzel, set, sold out before link went live and i can add it to my basket in the US site as its still available, i wish we received more :( i really wanted this set but with shipping to the Uk and customs it just too expensive, congrats to all that were able to get the set,

I'm very new to the doll collecting scene and after seeing the Designer Sets on display on the Disney store last month, I was really determined to try my best to get one.

I found the experience of trying to buy the Designer Rapunzel set from the UK web site yesterday to be a very negative and an extremely frustrating experience (something I never thought I would experience dealing with a company like Disney).

Just like may of the contributors to this thread, I logged onto the UK Disney Website at 7.30am, and as soon as the doll went live on the website (8.10am), I attempted to purchase the set. A hour of constant reclicking on the "Add to bag" icon yielding nothing except the dreaded "The product you have selected cannot be purchased at this time" message (and created a very frustrating experience as the time ticked by).

Disappointed, and a little angry with the whole process, I gave up at 9 am.

I read a message from Tangled_Princess relating to the US online release on the 14th Oct, and fully agreed that it was worth trying to get the doll from the States (even though the shipping cost and custom charges could be considerable) rather that trying to get a Rapunzel set from an Ebay scalper.

My experience of the US site today was the opposite to the UK site yesterday. With huge thanks to Silvermist66 for sharing the codes for the set, I was able to purchase the doll at 8.10am this morning with absolutely no trouble what-so-ever.

I wanted to thank everyone who contributes on this forum for the info, tips and encouragement they share relating to collecting these wonderful dolls. I know I would never had gotten an opportunity to purchase a Designer Set without the help and advice offered on this forum.

LOL, not sure if I want to endure the experience of trying to purchase from a limited edition doll from a European Disney website, but most likely will a least try and get Elsa and Hans in two weeks time.

I've reading comments on the forum relating to the a large number of European orders getting cancelled (due to overselling of the Jasmine and Rapunzel sets during yesterday mornings chaos), I wonder will the European Disney online stores put in place any controls to make the experience a fairer process for everyone who attempts to buy a limited edition doll in the future?

I am surprised that Rapunzel and Gothel are still in stock. It's great for people who want her I'm just kind of shocked because she's a popular character. I hoping that it's this way for the next two, weeks with Ariel and Elsa. I am not expecting that though especially with Elsa. Maybe it's just doll overload with the 17" Aladdin dolls releasing on the same day and that's why Rapunzel is still in stock
