Okay, so- the holiday resort pins are coming out Thursday. I've never really bothered with them before, but I have a friend who wants a set this year. I have some questions for those of you who have collected them before...

-Will they have them at DtD, or do I really have to visit each and every resort to get them?

-Do they sell out fast? I know in previous years some have shown up at the outlets after-the-fact, but that was years ago. The edition sizes aren't too small, so I'm not expecting a problem...but you guys would know better.

Will they be at places like the shop behind Spaceship Earth in Epcot or under the hat at DHS?
 
If years past holds true each resort get 75% of their pins DTD Pin Traders the other 25% they will not be available in the parks.
 
They are available at DTD for all the resorts. They started bringing resort pins for sale to the public since not all the pins sell at the resort. And if they don't sell, they end up at the cast member store or at prime outlets for discounted price. Disney would much rather get a full price out of it...
 
Hey Judy...hope you are having a great time!! Did they have all of them available at your resort? I am hoping to pick up a few next week but I was only going to a select few of the resorts to look at the decorations.

Yeah, I'm not sure there are any traders in Hawaii- I've been watching the trading number on Pinpics, and none have shown up. I don't think I've seen one on eBay, either.

I really hate that they've been selling specialized merchandise there...if anyone buys it, it's likely to be tourists, and not with traders. I know you want people to visit your resorts, Disney, but I'm not going to go on an entire vacation for a single pin, thanks.

EDIT: DUR- just saw that it's released on 11/22...no wonder no one has it yet. LOL!

I wonder if the holiday mailboxes are sold out, people were buying them like candy when I went to buy mine the first day. Not to mention almost everyone who bought at least one asked for Stitch LOL.
 
I bought the Chip and Dale Grand Californian mailbox pin today! I really like it. Might be willing to trade it for something though haha
 
I'm looking for the 2 DLR releases, in addition to Aulani. If you're either willing to pick them up, or want to trade, let me know.
 
When some writes ALL of the resort holiday pins are available at the Orlando DTD, does that also include the three CA resorts and the one HA resort? In reverse, does the Pin Traders at Anaheim DTD have all of the Florida resort holiday pins?

California pins just at CA, not sure about HA. Also sometimes they don't have the Contemporary pin (and one other, but I don't recall which one) only at the resort, or maybe they just sell out quicker for some of them. I haven't seen them yet, but hear from friends that they are extra lovely this year. I can't wait. Didn't get them all, but with my characters...it was a bunch.

Yeah, no...just the WDW ones are at WDW, even at DtD. It's why I still need the DLR and Aulani ones.

Wow...that's quite a mark-up. You might want to wait and see what people are putting them up on the 'Bay for before you offer that kind of scratch (not to mention driving the prices up for the rest of us). $14 a pop, 19 pins, that's $266!! Unless you're a cast member, but that's still a huge chunk of change! I know DA LE 100s that don't go for that much...

Hell, if we can't get a trader to pick them up for us, I was just going to do a bulk order for us Duffy fans here on the DPF and have them mail ordered over to me...
