How do you price up pins?

Hi guys, I found a very beautiful all too temping herules collectible on the bay but it is out of my price range. I though maybe I could sell some pins to make up for it a litlle bit but I really dont know how to price pins or if anyone would want them. Does anyone have any advice on it?

I would go on the bay to see if there have been any recent completed transactions of the pins you are trying to sell. That way you can kind of gage what people might be willing to spend on a particular pin.

We tend to take the recent sales prices and what the pin cost us, whether we got it directly from Disney or from a secondary source either through purchase or trade and factor these things altogether. We also consider the pin trade to wants ratio from the Pinpics listing. We have only been selling pins over the last few weeks from our traders, because we were originally only interested in trading, so we are by no means experts. This is just my opinion.

Can you give an example of how you would use the trade/wants ratio to make a price? Lets says the wants is double the trades? What price does that result in? For example, how much would you sell your Stitch 'As' Prince Phillip one compared to like the Stitch SPD one? I'm actually really curious about the Prince Phillip Stitch one because that is one my all time favorite Stitch pins and I'm curious how much I should be looking at spending to buy it eventually xP

The Pinpics wants to trades ratio is just one of the factors that I would consider, as I stated. If the ratio is good but the pin hasn't been selling for as much as it cost originally, I would probably keep it to use as a current or future trader vs. trying to sell it and losing money, right now. I have not thought about how much the Stitch "as" Philip is valued at and would have to consider that. I am not knowing what Stitch SPD means????Sorry..

I am by no means an authority as there are others here who routinely sell pins and are much more knowledgeable than I am. I was just offering my viewpoint. Thanks!!
