How does one get hold of AP pins?

Not that I have any hope in getting any as I am in the UK but I have always wanted to know - how do people acquire AP/ PP pins? And why are they always put on PinPics a long time after the original pin is put on?

you get them from Scoop on main street at wdw. when you go to pin events they have them on the boards that you pull pins from

Thanks Tori never met Scoop before...I do not think?? Although could have a look through my photos from WDW in 2000 and 2002 and have a look. So can you trade for AP / PP pins or do you buy them from him?

he has them on his laynard and you trade with him. He is a cast member very very sweet man

but most of mine comes from pin boards at pin events

You trade for them. You can occasionally get them from regular cast members at DLR and then the trading boards at pin events.

I don't think we need separate listing for AP pins. Just make an extra section in the normal pin and note there's an AP. But one of the pinpics mods loves AP's so i doubt we'll ever be free of double listings.

Thanks for the info guys! I have 1 definite AP pin that I can remember and 1 PP pin. Wish I had more I remember trading away a Tinker Bell AP pin - didn't even realise it was an AP after I had traded away - person never gave me a reference back or said thanks

Ive got two UK AP pins ... didnt realise they were AP's at first, I now wonder if the person I got them from ever did. I'm not really bothered about having AP or PP pins, and don't like the duplicate listings for them on Pinpics either. Although having said that, they are kind of special, being the original few made. I havent bothered to create a listing for my two, they are on my trades list, but just under the original listing.
