How fickle are you with your Wants?

I have alot on my wants list because i feel it opens me up to alot more trade possiblilties HOWEVER i just made a grails list to bring with me to WDWPTN, it has about 25 pins on there, which i REALLY WANT, AND I HAVE A NICE AMOUNT OF le TRADERS ETC TO offer, so as far as being picky, we will see how it go's....i hate to say no to anyone who really is excited about a pin but i am not just settling for something to give up an LE--so this could be sticky. iI am at a point in my collection where i am done with quantity and want to get these certain pins. I do love them all tho

My wants change quite a bit depending on what new grouping of pins grabs my attention. Currently I'm following the idea someone else had on this board to get a pin representing every Disney Classic Animated movie released. That added a few to my wants.

I go thru phases where sometimes I will go thru and clean out my wants. But I like having a big wants list - more oportunities to trade and sometimes I say - why limit yourself? I know I will never have every pin on my wants list and I am ok with that. But I do send out requests for my more wanted pins and hope to get those one day.

THIS. Exactly this. I got a trade request yesterday for the UK Vanessa pin. I didn't think that the pin they offered was worth it, but I decided to look at their other traders, just to see if there was anything that could be added. They had Pin 2883: Disneyland - Villain Event (Chernabog) . It's LE 500, with 8 people trading and 153 wanting. That would probably be a fair trade for the UK Vanessa pin, but I just don't like that Chernabog pin enough to part with the Vanessa pin. I think I could get something for it that I like a lot more.

Just because something has a great Trades/Wants ratio, and is a very old release and low edition size, doesn't mean that I'll do anything to get it. If I had the time, I would totally put my entire Wants list in the order of what I like the most to what I like the least. Then I'd probably end up thinking twice about the bunch of pins that ended up at the bottom.

This exactly. I kind of have an idea of where my wants are in my head, so that way when I get a request I can go with it or shrug it off. I tried so so hard to keep my wants list down to one page only, but I recently added a bunch and went into about half of another page. I feel like it is still short enough to be manageable and long enough that I have more opportunities to trade.

I've felt the same way too.
