How many of you organize your collection by character/theme in display or however you keep your pins? Just a bit curious! :wiggle:

Maybe to add more to this topic you can explain your method.

My method is.... no method at all! All my pins are displayed on a pin board in whatever position I like best all scrambled together, but I will admit there are a huge chunk of Mickey pins together on purpose.

I have 4 different boards - 2 are Chip and Dale with a small handful of misfit pins that don't fit anywhere haha.

One board has my small but growing Enchanted collection, and my largest board I divided into sections: Left side is Jasmine/Aladdin, bottom center is Alice, top center is Ariel, and the right side is Tangled

I'll have to update the show room thread sometime soon. I love seeing how others display their collection!

For my pins that aren't on the wall, I organize them by book. I have three of these that hold DA Stitches:

I've got one of these that holds my non-DA Stitches:

I've got two of these that hold Halloween/Characters Dressed as Other Characters:

This one holds my PTN pins:

This has my D23 pins, POH, and some other random:

And this one is hodge-podge random leftovers that have no home:

Most of my traders are in binders now and they are grouped together by theme too but not as clear-cut.

All my princesses have separate boards. The largest one for Sleeping Beauty, two medium sized ones for Ariel and Belle, while Jasmine and Rapunzel have small boards. The other boards I have are Mulan, Hercules (Mixed with random) and then all Bolt and Cat pins go together.

When I first started collecting Maleficent, I had one page for her with arms open, one angry, one with diablo, one with words and one her in dragon form. That didn't last long, now I get position them in the order that I get them.

I have a pin book with my hidden mickey pins and Piece of Disney Movies pins. I also have two binders. One of Chip and Dale and NBC, and the other of Lion King, Up, and Beauty and the Beast
Oh, and of course I have a lanyard!

I don't have that many pins but I do organise them on my one board by type. I try to croup my categories together. I'm gunna need a new board soon though cause I think I'm going to have to have a 'Lady and the tramp' board cause that collection is my biggest XD! I like to frame my pins too so I suppose I have them in categories too!

Well all my pins fit into one overall theme, but on each board I take the mosaic approach and just arrange them to fit together as snugly as possible (with a bit of space still between them, of course). I love the way they all look together.

I have my own themes set for pages i.e.: Dates/Resorts/Restaurants we've visited, Firefighter pins, HM sets...
Then I have a separate bag for my WDW POTC pins. Those are subdivided as well.

I have one giant 48" X 72" board that I use to display my Alice in Wonderland loose pins. Then I have one large frame for Fantasia. Then I have several smaller frames that are surrounding the room. The balance of my pins are in pin bags and arranged by movie, individual pins (single pins that don't apply to any movie), and then bags of pins that came as sets. Each series of bags is arranged by size of release. To some, it may look like disorganization, but I know where everything goes.

I have pin bags for almost everything, with the exception of framed sets, which are actually hanging up, and I have a cork board for dioramas.

I have:
12 Stitch pin bags
2 Tinker Bell pin bags
2 Pluto pin bags
1 pin bag with Haunted Mansion, and Pooh and Family
1 pin bag with Jessica and Chip and Dale. The first three pages are Jessica and the last 3 are Chip and dale.
three bags of Mickey & Minnie, Snow White and Dwarfs, Dumbo, Dalmatians, Lady and the Tramp, and lots of villains, plus pin trading themed pins.

You might say I have way too many pins. However, only one Stitch bag is being used now, because I am no longer collecting anything else. When I first started collecting, I couldn't make up my mind and just collected every pin from any character I thought was cute, funny or pretty.

I have most of my pins sorted on frames. One GIANT frame for my Haunted Mansion collection, another for my pirates, another for my WDI poster series, one for my Nightmare Before Christmas pins, and lastly one for my Star Tours pins. The others that don't really fit any of those frames or are Disneyland focused sit in my pin book.

we have so few pins....its crazy to read of the members with 13 bags or more... We have our pins on 5 lanyards... one is just trader lanyard. we keep extra pins on small boards that i coverd with black cloth. We each have a board with sum disney pics and our extra keeper pins. Oh we did just get the new Disney shadow box and just have to set it up. It wont hold much so we have to think of how we want to use this new display.

I have my pin books broken down by by subjects
one book for each theme park at WDW, i have two baseball pin books- one for disney themed and one for Major leagues baseball as I also collect MLB pins too, complete sets, cast member pins and holidays are together as I dont have alot of eithers, general characters and cm lanyard/ hidden mickeys are together, disney store pins, pin book, Walt Disney has his own book,

I have a cork board. I arrange pins from the same film together. But make sure the pirate ones are at each corner (don't ask me why haha). Although most of the LE's I have that have backers I keep in a separate bag to keep them safe

I have a full Stitch bag, a miscellaneous bag with lots of Alice in Wonderland, another bag with Vinylmation Jumbos, Villains, and Piece of Disney Movie pins...oh, and my almost full board of Vinylmation pins
