How many pins for a 14 day vacation ?

Hey All
I'm not a hard-core trader I'm visiting mostly to experience all WDW and the general area has to offer but how many pins could I expect to get through in a day ? At DLRP I was going through 20-30 a day on a good day once I'd gone on all the rides I wanted . Should I plan on this amount or something higher .
I'll be getting them from eBay , they'll be virtually all from booster sets but at least they won't be scrappers .

If you are going to be buying booster sets then check with Jadestar here. She sells them and other nice pins very cheaply and they are real pins. If you are just trading with cast members I would guess your 20-30 pins a day would be very close.

I would agree with the advice about buying from Jadestar, but she's ill (I think) and so she isn't around (which is why starry_solo and maleficent913 have been trying to get her game picks finalized).

If you're going to spend more time riding rides and enjoying the shows than seeking out Cast Members to trade, I think the 20-30 per day should work fine. If by chance you run out, you can look through what you've already traded for and figure out if you want to keep or trade those pins too.

I would say you'd need between 300 and 400 pins. I usually bring 50 pins for the half day that I spend at DLR. I'm also bringing 50 pins to trade on the boards at the NBC event (although I'm not sure that there will be that many opportunities to trade)

The general rule we tell folks is 10 to 20 per day per person. I just finished selling trader pins at $2 each or I would offer.

I would write Jade even though she is ill. Her booster pack prices are fantastic!

I think it depends on what kind of pins you are looking for from cast members. Hidden mickeys, you're going to need 40-50 per day. Regular rack pins, you'd probably be okay with 20-30 per day

My husband & I try to go to WDW monthly & the 20 to 30 per day sounds about right. It also depends on how much of your time you are devoting to "Lanyard Hunting", what you are looking for and which park you are going to as to how many you would want to take. I'd take more (30) for Magic Kingdom and less (20) for the other parks. Just my opinion, TTFN Sue

I've messaged Jade . I'm not going until next year so no great rush . I'm planning 2 days for each park . 3 days for Universal & Seaworld the rest will be dependant on what's on during my stay . It will be the week of St Patrick's day and the week before so I'm hoping for a few exclusive releases (there's also a Fri 13th that month) . I'm thinking about taking 200 - 250 which should be more than enough . I collect any I like the look of really no 1 specific character but I do have a fondness for the villains :naughty:

Be sure to check the trade books at all the hotels... You usually need to ask at the customer service area, but most all hotels have them... Good luck and have fun....

Reserve your food reservations early..!!! My best recommendation is La Cellier and they book reservations up to 6 months in advance at most of the restaurants... Ugh I wish we were going again...lol

Just remember one thing, Many more CMs here where lanyards as opposed to the Cali folks, if you do 20 to 30 there, I would expect to bring a few more, I have with my partner done mass trading days with over 100 in a day, but if you are picky about what you want, bring 50, worse case scenario is you go back to the hotel with a few more traders, but better to have and not need, than to need and not have!!!! Just two cents worth!

If you have little kids, plan to have a bunch for them to trade. They like every pin they see.
At least mine does. She traded 3-1 what me and my teenager traded at least.

we just went to Disney world for 14 days and i took way way to many if ur not going the 2nd Saturday of the month when there doing there trading then trading can be slim. i went to epcot probley 6 times to see if they where trading and usually only seen one guy. i would probley take 20 a day if ur using booster set pins i take it you will be trading with cast members. good luck on finding all the pascals also remember to fine scoop Monday Wednesday's and Sundays at magic kingdom he always has very very nice pins ap and pp
