Made my first online trade and planning to ship it tomorrow. Just wanted to ask what's the best way to ship the pins without damaging it. Is the bubble envelopes that the post office sells good enough to protect it? I have 4 pins to ship in total and I want to make sure they arrive in perfect condition.

Sorry for the noob question and thanks for any advice you guys have to offer =)

That's a good start. If you are sending more than one in the envelope make sure each is wrapped in their own protective coat ie. bubble wrap or tissue paper or at least pinned to some surface so they will not bounce against each other during shipping. A little extra care now can save a lot of problems later:cry:

Hi,not a silly question at all, I would be gutted if pins arrived damaged
ok to ship I attach all pins to card ,even if they have backing card,I then wrp in bubble wrap
and then put in jiffy bubble mailer bag, the main thing is to keep as flat as possible as some post office will charge extra if it won't go throught a letter box
i may be over the top packing, but pins arrive undamaged
good luck ,hope this helps

Bubble wrap is your friend! I either put all the pins on one backing, usually a piece of cardboard or pin card (depending on how many pins I'm shipping). I wrap each set in bubble wrap. I always use bubble mailers. You can get them cheaper at Target and/or Staples (or any office supplies store). I also recommend saving the bubble mailers you get from pin trading. I usually put extra tape around the mailer to make sure it doesn't break. I am sure some people think I go overboard with the tape but I'd rather the pin not fall out.

If your pins do not have backer cards, collect business cards from nearby businesses. Attach the pins to the business card (1-2 per card). Bubble wrap the pins & card. Then wrap the pins & card in hard cardboard. Then place in bubble envelope (if you don't have a bubble envelope handy, you can use a plain manila envelope (just not a letter sized #10 envelope).

*This is what I do when I have run out of bubble envelopes and the pins have shipped securely*

I ALWAYS use bubble wrap! I received 4 pins on backer cards, yesterday and was a bit disturbed that they were all just banging against each other inside the envelope! No bubble wrap... not even tissue wrapped around them! It's been a LONG time since I've seen pins just thrown into the envelope like that.

Please wrap your pins, the receiver will appreciate it and you can be assured that the pins you send will arrive undamaged.

I think it's great that you are so concerned about proper mailing protocol from the get-go! Good for you!

Thanks everyone for the great advice =) I ended up "borrowing" some bubble wrap from my shipper at work and wrapped each pin individually and then put it in a bubble envelope.

My daughter and I use the bubble wrap envelopes but also put bubble wrap around each pin too. I think that works nicely. Congrats on your trade.
