A few days ago I attended a Pittsburgh Pirates game and saw a few team themed Disney pins for sale. They have a Disney copyright and the traditional rubber mouse ears back. But they had an odd sized card and lacked the Disney Pin Trading mark.

I've searched for the two I purchased on PinPics and they weren't listed.

I'm curious to know where these types of pins fit into the pin trading world.

While they are legit disney pins, they are licensed by the MLB to be sold. Trading them will be tricky as other than the appeal to a fellow team fan, or mickey playing baseball collector they are neither limited or special , save as a momento of your time at the park,,,,
I believe you can add them to the PP database, as many pins produced by disney but not bearing the PTL are indeed listed.

Thanks guys. I just wasn't sure if these were shunned or something because they may have been licensed out to a different company for manufacture.
 
I have some of the Seattle Mariners pins. They are tradable, nothing wrong with them. Outside licensees won't have the same markings as park pins, so nothing to fear there. They also may not be in Pinpics because the database is user created. So if there isn't a Disney pin person in Pittsburgh to buy one and add it, than in doesn't get added until one shows up. Like someone else said, because it's a specific team, in a specific sport, with Mickey they may not be super popular. But if you can find a Pirates fan, you should be good to go.
 
That's a really cool pin! I've seen some other Disney MLB pins. There must be a lot out there if every team sells them. That one is very specific to both the team and the ballpark. Score!
 
My husband has the Anaheim Angels pins with mickey and other characters that we bought at Angels stadium. We found ours on Pinpics. They are legit. Your pin might be newer and not in their database yet.
 
I was born and raised in Pittsburgh but had to move away for my job. I would trade with you for them. Plmk
 
I don't plan on trading it, but I did add it to PinPics. It's #97339.

If I get to another game I may pick a few more up. They had four or five different pins.
