Hey gang! So if you've been around for like...two months, you'll know that I get fidgety when my Grail Banner starts to get stale. And well, sadly, I think I've gotten pretty much everything I'm going to get on that Aladdin Banner, so I figured it was time for a shake up.

I've always loved Genie from Aladdin. Robin Williams was an incredible influence on my as a kid (and an adult) and his passing was the first celebrity death that really had any effect on me at all. His performance as Genie is legendary for me, nearly holy ground. And I've always thought that my Genie pins were a bit of a tribute to him and the character. To that end, I've whipped together my next grail banner, which focuses most exclusively on Genie himself.

As for what sorts of Genie I like, I definitely prefer him in various forms and avoiding stock poses. So something dynamic and exciting for Genie is best. ;P

Genie as the Game Show Host or him as the Flight Attendant are probably the biggest grails at this point. :3

If you've got some Genie sitting around, let me know! Perhaps we can work something out. Thanks for looking!

I was lucky enough to "meet" Robin Williams once when I was working at EPCOT. The Plaids were taking him and his family backstage at the France pavilion where our break trailer was. Someone alerted us that he was outside and while approaching celebs was a big no-no while you were working, we still couldn't pass up the opportunity. We all casually came strolling out of the break area and walked right by his car. He was sitting in the passenger side and gave us a big smile and wave, probably amused by the gaggle of gawking cast members pretending not to be silently saying hello to one of our fave actors.

Random side note: a friend of mine from high school (disclaimer: no longer on touch!) with whom I did musical theatre...played the Genie in the show at California Adventure for quite a quite a while before it closed (likely on of several actors to rotate the role)...wonder what pins he has?!?!
