There was a discussion on pins like that (pins not from DSF, DLR, or WDW) somewhere and in the end, they were licensed by Disney (not Square Enix) and they come with the Mickey-pin backings so I think they are official Disney pins xP They are nice...but I wish they were 3D. If the one with Sora on his chair was in the 3D...that would have been my favorite pin, but it's just flat FLAT I TELL YOU!!!! FLAT!!!!! It has Sora, Donald, and Goofy on it...but it's flat!!! (I'm a sucker for 3D pins with a pin layered over another one, not dioramas).

I don't think they would have made a cover art one, but the good thing is that depending on how these KH pins sell, they will make more. From what many cast members believe (they're only cast members, not higher-up Disney reps) Disney seems to be testing the waters for KH merchandise in the park. First they released the limited edition pin last year to only 500 and it sold out fast!!! This year they have an open rack edition pin with a Pewter keychain of the heartless symbol and a Sora keychain in the park (I didn't like the keychains so I didn't get them, they were sold at Hot Topic beforehand). They also occasionally sell the official-Square Enix licensed Kingdom Hearts products in the Japan part of Epcot (like the Play Arts, Formation Arts, etc. and I think those are by far the nicest piece of KH merchandise EVER!!! Had to get them all ). Also, when KH1 first came out they had a cast member be Sora for one night on Halloween along with having a Mage Donald and Knight Goofy, but after that one night those suits have never been seen again I think that if the KH stuff sells more and more (which I think it is) they'll make more merchandise, and my one hope in life is for them to make a Birth by Sleep pin, or just a pin of Aqua. Either one and I'll be set for life...

Its already a really popular series in the US, as much or maybe more than Japan
and when they announce KH3 is when they will try to sell KH merch like crazy because of the hype since people have been waiting for YEARS on that game.
So hopefully by then they will sell more KH pins : 3

However, because the US has so many more people living in it than Japan, the Kingdom Hearts games always sell better over here I'm just nervous that Disney will released a limited edition Kingdom Hearts pin in Tokyo Disneyland, because then I'll have to find to pay outrageous prices on Ebay for the pin. KH3 won't be out till at least 2014-2015 so I doubt they are waiting for that. However, the HD remix just announced coupled with the 10th anniversary this year may inspire them to make more merchandise next year, which I'm hoping

And by the looks of things, I see it not being done till late 2013. Then development for KH3 will start around that time sadly .__.

But I agree,I hope no LE KH pins will be sold only in Japan ;-;
