I hope this isn't a fake...
It was a lot easier to purchase multiples of individual pins back then - I had 5 of the Jessica as Ursula that came out in 2009. Based on my "Jessica as ..." halloween pins from 2008, 2009 and 2010 I still think you have a legit pin.

I agree with Steve. I think its legit. There are no scrapper warnings on the pin. I know I had like 3 or 4 of them back in the day so its possible they had multiples. There is no guarentee that trading for it will be any better since there is such a variety of labels. If the person has great feedback I'd keep it. If mine wasnt packed away soo well, I'd take a look at the label to compare.

I agree that its real as when older pins were released many ebay sellers and collectors placed multiple orders of the maximum amount you could get. I used to buy my disneystore.com pins from an ebay seller and they always had at least 4 of any pins that came out so just cause a seller sold four does not mean it is a fake. there is no scrapper warnings on the pin and I hope it stays that way as when the pin has not been looked at then I think jumping the gun a little. you should look at the pin itself to base your conclusion on .

really... so even though all the ones you guys got from Disney have the name spelled right and dont say LE300...

seeems to me that your pins are 100% fake.. sorry to say that but want u to know the truth.

The ones right from disney have all had spelling corect and say Limited edition. Thats enough right there to show u its fake.. but add to it that its on ebay 5 times from same guy.. now its fake for sure. i wish that the story of it could b a older trade was true... Hey if other ppl think its real... ask to trade for one they have.. LOL bet they wont trade!!!

bump... i could b wrong about the pin. Dose anyone else think the spelling should matter. Would disney lable sum pins one way and other sum diffrent way???

what do u think guys???

Yeah, if you open two windows and compare the bar code for the first posting with the bar codes from the other 3 shown here, the second half of the codes look different.

Actually, the barcodes on every one of these pins pictured is different. If you actually scan the barcode, the number it comes up with is the 10 digit number directly beneath Donald Duck (or the last two dwarfs), which is different in every picture (possibly different on every pin?). So that alone is not a basis for real vs fake. The barcodes _should_ be different.

Since it seems these numbers are so different (all of the numbers, not just the barcoded one), if the seller has another copy of this pin, and the sticker is exactly the same, then I'd really suspect they were fake. If the sellers other pins have slightly different labels, then they may be legit... Or the people making the fakes are _really_ going out of their way to make them convincing...

It's odd because the bar codes should not be different. In warehousing, the bar codes have to be the same so as they are scanning them out it deducts from inventory. It would be highly inefficient to have a different bar code for each pin. If you go to the pin racks at the park and scan two of the same pins, the scan should come up with the exact same number.

Yeah, that would have been my thoughts too... Seems kind of weird. I would have expected the barcode to come up with 515125, since that seems to be the 'SKU' # for this pin...

I just scanned ImNotBad's barcode above, and it comes up with 0942546642, the 10-digit number under the Witch... For some reason, they seem to be barcoded individually....

If you (the OP) were planning on opening it anyway, I'd open it and inspect the pin carefully. If it appears fake, you can still return it. Based on the pictures posted here, I don't see anything to suggest it isn't legit. I think you need to look at the pin to see if anything looks wrong there...

If they did do more than one bar code for pins it would explain some of the problems I have had through the years with DA, Disneyshopping, and Disney Store of things being sold when out of stock, wrong items being shipped, etc.

ckuhrt21, I would do as rik suggests and inspect the pin. Personally, if the pin passes all tests on authenticity, disregard anything about the packaging. It could be just a tagging error on Disney's part which with the problems I have had in the past, wouldn't be surprising. If the pin itself looks to have some common counterfeit mistakes, then you can scrutinize the packaging.
