:anxious:

So I went to DLR/DCA Monday with my wife, Son and his girlfriend. We were there when the gates opened at 9:00AM. I was informed that it was to be a day to spend time with my son (in other words no trading). OK! Well my wife and I ended up leaving about 5:30PM which meant we were there 8 1/2 hours. As promised, I didn't bring any of my trader pins and wouldn't you know it, Cast Members were walking around in swarms wearing lanyards and side sashes loaded with enticing pins. Of course I didn't actually stop to look but strained to see what I could in passing.

I must say that I left that day feeling somewhat empty inside. I actually felt a sort of hurt in my gut. Is this normal or a sign of being obsessed with my hobby?

I'm a member sadly, :/ I must pull back a little before I do some real damage to myself. I have to stick to just trading for a while and no more purchasing. Bills must come first and I've been having a hard time sticking to that. :(

Hey Gary!
I would not worry about it. Pins at DLR have been horrible for the past several weeks at least. I am sure you did not miss much of anything.

Pinaholics Anonymous? hehe
Hahaha!

Oh so much truth there.

I was seeing quite a few Pirate pins Monday. One area I've been wanting to explore.

I did that once (unexpected trip to DLR when I was visiting with a friend in OC). I didn't have any pins and was tempted to get a starter set (for $29.95) if I found any good pins. Luckily, I didn't find any good pins...plus, this past weekend, nothing good.

PS I notice there are feedback scores but mine doesn't show up (or I can't see it).

I see your feedback score. I think you just can't see your OWN!

I'm a charter member of Pinaholics Anomymouse! I go to WDW for meetings to try and kick my addiction but cast members do not want to seem to help me. I have tried going a week without trading, but the pain and agony is too much to bear and I have to give it to it. I've caught myself planning trips to WDW by myself to trade in secret and putting pin bags in my closet. Oh the shame! Thankfully my family is very patient with me and understands that I addicted to pins and will probably never recover. Sad but true. So Gary, you are NOT alone. I stand with you and proudly claim my pins.

Maybe next time you could make a deal with your family to have 30 minutes or 1 hour to walk around by yourself to lanyard trade and the rest of the time be "family time". I don't know how this would work since I'm constantly lanyard searching but you could TRY. :)

Forget Pinaholics Anonymouse, I'm an addict and proud of it! Ha!

I also say, next time bring some traders anyway, just in case. It's a Murphy's Law, if bring traders you may not find anything you need, but if you don't bring any, you're going to spot something (or a few somethings) you wanted!

Actually, I run a Pinaholics Anonymous group. We meet every Thursday, usually at Westward Ho in Disneyland......... To join, just pay the fee but it does come with a free pin....... LoL! :p

'Tis truly a good thing to see others just as addicted as I am! =) Pinaholics Anonymouse Members UNITE!

[Pinaholics Anonymouse Charter Member...but it's been so long I cannot remember the founder?! :)]

As Walt said "It all started with a mouse". So that makes Walt the founding member. I've even got my pin to prove I'm a member of the group, the nickname of our group is "Pin Trading Anonymouse". We need a twelve step program and an official pin.
