I agreed to a trade with "jeremypins" Normally, I DO check refs, but didn't this time. He has none. Well guess what, he has the pin I mailed (got it last week) and tracked, but i have NO pin and NOW NO EMAILS from him. Has anyone traded with him or know if he is on the Forum?? he lives in Northern VA
i feel like such a fool. I'm about to file a formal complaint:cry:

I'm not taking sides, but this has happened to me more times than I care to count. I agree to a trade and mailing date with the other trader. I send my pin on the agreed upon day. Then, nothing. They receive my pin, no word, no replies..nothing. About 2 weeks later I get an email from the other trader saying they went on vacation the very next day, after the trade!!!! And that they are just now mailing my pin!! To me, that is deciteful and just down right dishonest. I mean really, one didn't know one was going on a 2 week vacation???? c'mon

Not saying this is what has happened to you, but it does seem to happen a lot. Or at least it does to me.
 
thank y'all. I do appreciate it. I feel like a fool however...I'm hoping LuvSimba is right about the "two week vacation" the trader forgot...but sheesh...

The vacation thing happened to me too. Only twice, but it did. I know for 110% you are not a fool You just made a mistake, because you trusted in the honor system.

Once, I had a trader mail a pin to me in a bubble envelope, but with only one 39c stamp on it. It came to me after 4 months and I had to pay the extra postage. I was surprised that they did not return it to sender, but chose to bring it to my door.

You never know. If he is a brand new trader, mistakes can happen.

Sorry to hear about this. I'm just getting more involved with DPF and pinpics trading so I'll take this cautionary tale and check references as much as possible. And you know, the pin I sent you went out yesterday!!!

I've never heard of the person, and I'm near NOVA (I'm in DC). I'm sorry to hear this experience for you. If you have an address that you mailed the pin, I can go track him down. (sorta of kidding about that part!)
 
Sorry to hear about this I recognise the name but have never traded with this person (I must have had a offer at some point through pin pics)

That's a stinker. If you could please PM me his info, I keep a Pinpics "beware" list. Also, you may want to remind the other party that this is mail fraud and a felony. This has helped me resolve something similar.

Suzanne: You are not a fool, you were trusting & made a mistake in not checking his refs. I'm in the middle of an identical situation, no pins, no responses & they got my pins a month ago!
You & I have been trading pins for more years than most, so we know what we are doing, but we are not without fault obviously, we have made our mistakes in thinking everyone operates with the same intentions we do.

In the past 2 months, I have had to file formal complants against 3 or 4 different traders and all but one finally did mail my pins after my filing the complaints.
THIS should ot be happenning, but the fact is that pin trading , as we knew it has changed.

People send when they want & come up with every excuse in the book for theit awful behavior.

I have started my own list of what I call bad traders, before I agree to a trade I refer to it or just plain block their Emails.

I wish we had something like that on these forums, but I understand the liability about bad mouthing other people. Maybe if they saw their names on the "possible scammers" list they would be embarrased & do good on their trades.

Sorry this is happenning to you, but YES, file a complaint & you might get a surprise, these mods work wonders, they really do. I have been so impressed with what they are able to achieve after I think I've been had! GOOD LUCK!!!!
 
this person has had multiple complaints and I think is now banned from Pin Pics....I will be more careful in future....duh...
 
Sorry this happened to you I have had recently something similar where I mailed my pin ASAP and weeks later still no pin after I inquired they did reply but still hadn't sent my pins out then the trade went to hell and back still waiting on my pins to be returned

OMG this Gif was too perfect and very funny lol back to the original subject at hand I'm so sorry. I've never had that happen on pin pics but had this happen to me with a forum member. I forgot to check his feedback or his profile for that matter. I bought a specific item I sent the money and nothing. I found out he was barely on the forum with no feedback and I was his only friend. I didn't get anything in the mail when I was supposed to. I never heard back and I finally had the Mod's get involved and finally a couple weeks later I did receive the item I bought tossed into a big box and damaged with some scrappers thrown in no note no nothing and never heard from them ever since. Since it's pin pics I wouldn't know what to do except write a formal complaint like you were saying. I'll keep an eye out for this guy just in case he's on the forum. I am so sorry something like this has happened to you. It truly bites and people like that shouldn't be on pin pics and hopefully he will get banned.

one of the mods on this forum tried to locate him & "no such person at (the address he gave me)"
BUT since my complaint was one in a long line of complaints to Pin Pics, he is now banned from that site
 
Hi, I'm sorry you had to go through such bad experience,but if this person is ban from pinpic what stops them from forming another ID name and doing it to others?
