I wanna Join!
I feel you, even though I am probably getting my top grail in the mail today (New Classics Pocahontas DA LE 100) , but I really want the D23 Pocahontas pin, Ariel Art Nouveau and Rapunzel Disney Girls chaser with a deep, deep passion...but I fear it may take years for the latter 2, and possibly an easier task for the D23 pin

Sigh, I wish I had an opportunity to throw my money at my holy grail, but the darn thing is never available! Oh well, maybe someday...

(Hmm, the baby seems to be making me crave cornbread all of a sudden.)

Hoop Dee Doo Grail Magic Cornbread from the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue @ Pioneer Hall

Before all the transitive powers of the corn bread are destroyed I will supply you all with this Disney Corn Bread Recipe. Let this be the last and final words from the SOCIETY on Corn Bread before banishment occurs.

Hoop Dee Doo Cornbread directly from the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue at Pioneer Hall
3/4 c. cornmeal
1 1/4 c. sugar
1 1/2 t. salt
1 T. baking powder
1 3/4 c. flour
1/2 c. vegetable oil
1 c. milk
2 eggs

1. Mix flour, cornmeal, salt, baking powder and sugar in a mixing bowl

2. In a separate bowl, blend milk, eggs and oil with a mixer (It says use a mixer, but we just use a whisk)

3. Using that same mixer, slowly add the blended liquids to the dry ingredients prepared in step 1, mixing just enough to incorporate the wet and dry ingredients.

4. Spray a 9x13 baking pan with nonstick cooking spray and pour the batter into the pan, spreading evenly.

5. Bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.

My most wanted list is constantly changing because everyone here is nice enough to say, hey I have that pin would you like to trade? Just be pacient and you'll get ! trade offer. If your lucky you will just get it.

If what you say is true you must be a popular guy,lol... I get maybe 1 or 2 in a month here & about the same on pinpics.

From what I am learning you must join evil bay,lol... Don't worry money is short here as well =). Thank you.

This won't get you into the "secret society" (haha) but there is a sign up if you want to be included in the random pin zaps. On the trade board, there is a thread for zaps, etc. Just email your info to the moderator bricklayer to be included.....

I did back when I joined up. I just zap on my own with those I have traded before with, no sign up just generosity. But Thank you.

What post??? Huh??? I agree with that Grumpy guy is a society of pin traders? Oh wait thats me,lol...

You're not alone. I've never received a grail, nor have I got a request to trade for a grail. I have never been zapped either. I guess I don't really have any friends on the forum yet lol
So, don't feel bad.

I don't have per say friends like most traders call each other. Most the pin traders I have met in the past want my good pins & leave me scraps, Never had I ever met a trader with my wife thats like hey want to come by for dinner talk & trade pins? But here most of us are friends amongst trade.

I have yet to trade for or purchase a grail and I've been pin trading for many years. I keep telling myself it'll happen someday!!!Maybe we can sneak in to that secret society somehow!?!

Hey all you newbies and people I don't know yet, I've been trading for over 10 years and only been zapped once and that was maybe 5 years ago. So, don't feel bad your day will come and someday you'll get a HG. I never ever thought I'd get some of the pins I have and yes I had to buy some but others I traded for and I couldn't believe when I did. I haven't gotten a HG recently, but you never know when someone will have a pin you want. BTW, does anyone have a Dead End for trade... lol.

Mine is easy!!!! Please someone zap me!!!!
Pin 51756: DLR - 2007 Hidden Mickey Lanyard - Sword In The Stone Collection (Archimedes)
It was my last day at disneyland and I stepped on it an broke the pin right off of it. Stupid big feet.....

Never been zapped either and I dont really have any grails cause I have too many wants. I guess the closest thing I would have to a grail would be Tink with the baseball bat from the mystery set a couple of years ago. http://www.pinpics.com/cgi-bin/pin.cgi?pin=63653&sid=3543.1311980611 I saw it on ebay for like $175.

Funny thing is, it would not even be for me. I collect Donald. It would be for my son who is a big baseball fan.

OK Grumpy74, I will admit what no one else is willing to admit. …..and remember it to be nothing more than a corn bread recipe.
ABSOLUTELY HYSTERICAL! Laughed so hard I snarfed my smoothie! Now Coach is laughing too!

Hang in there Grumpy! I've made quite a few awesome friends through trades (and somehow picked up a boyfriend too?! [/wink]) Zaps will happen over time. I didn't get my first until about three years in to trading.

When you get chatty enough in emails that you start planning on meeting one another on vacations to WDW...THAT'S when the vibes start flowing.

[Good meeting place for pin-pals: under the Sorcerer's Hat at Hollywood Studios...just be sure you tell one another a pin you'll be wearing - that makes it easier to spot each other! The restaurant where I met another pinpics-pal...not so easy to find someone in a crowd!]

HA! Evil Mickey took care of my entrance to that Hat you speak of. I live in Orlando so I do try to hit many of the pin meets. Right now I am just doing my on-line trading & keeping up the tradition of remaining Grumpy about everything.

Question for Grumpy and others:

What do you think Grumpy's wanted pin Pin 36280: WDW - Piece of Disney History 2005 (20,000 Leagues) is worth in $$?

Jacqui mentioned that she "paid real money". Ok, but how much real $$ are we talking about here?

I can't stomach the idea of paying more than $300 for a pin... no clue how much that pin is worth, monetary value on pins alude me and the "BOOKS" with the A B C price guides are useless, this being said... I used to nag Grumpy because he was spending 25-50 a week shipping pins. Someone mentioned E*ay and now he has to be watched at all times LOL. He wants EVERYTHING =)
