...to when Disney Auctions was in business, and have the ability to bid and own just one pin (not a set) for your own, personal collection what pin would it be? I know there are a few DA pins that people wish they had bought or had the chance to because if sold now, they'd be able to buy four or five current grails! But I want to know which pin you'd want most for yourself and not for monetary gain.

For me, it'd probably be:

I own the DA pin I most wanted (the Stitch and Timon hula pin), but of the DA pins I don't own, it would be this:

Man, if I could turn back time I'd have started collecting earlier to buy ANY of the DA pins! I'm super sad the discontinued this practice before I got into pin trading. It seemed much more equitable and to really promote trading. I'd also have gotten some DSF pins back before the craze. There's a few Little Mermaid pins that are going to be a pain to track down.

I do have a couple other DA pins in my siggy, but I'm so close to owning all the admin pins that I want, and the collection has really grown on me.
 
This is my most wanted DA pin. I have several of the pins in the Atlantis series, but this is the one I have always wanted the most.
It still eludes me after 5 years of searching...but the hunt sure is fun!

Easy - the Hep Cats pin in my sig. :) It is the LAST DA pin I need and the last older Cheshire pin I'm still missing too! With that pin I'd be a Cheshire completist short of two or three recent easier pins I'm still looking to track down! :)

I was around back then. It was like being a kid in a candy store.

Hard to choose what you really wanted with so many nice pins out there!!

I remember DA dumping many of their P.I.N.S. pins at WDW's Cast Connection. They could be had for $5-10, depending. I don't ever remember any LE 100s going there.

I think nearly all of my Alice grails have been DA pins; I was fortunate to obtain a few before the prices got too crazy. The Back to School Caterpillar would also be my choice, as you can see in my signature.
 
Ariel Nouveau.

There are several others on my Wants, like Sleeping Beauty Gomes or Tink Storybook, but Ariel Nouveau is gorgeous and almost impossible to get these days...

While the first pin is nice (and has apparently recently gained some serious traction...I remember seeing it for $20 a few years ago), this one will always be THE Ariel Nouveau to me (despite them both sharing the name :) )

Since I have no DA pins, I want them all! Mwahahahaha! But seriously, I would also probably take Ariel Nouveau pin. I was too young to even have a credit card at the time the DA site was still active, so I don't know how I would convince my parents to invest so much money in pins.

I have this pin but the free-d fell off and I lost it, just to warn you there may be a lot less of this pin than the LE suggests!

As for the original question, I'm lucky enough to have started collecting before DA finished so do have a bunch of those others consider grails, but the one DA pin I would love to be able to add to my collection is the Ariel seasons pin, maybe one day :)
