ZAPPED! Is it hard to choose a PIF/RAK/ZAP/SecretSanta gift? - Would this be a good idea?
I think that everyone who participates in PIF, RAK, or other similar pin exchanges has occasionally had trouble deciding what to send their recipient ...so I have an idea and I'm wondering if anyone thinks this would be helpful:
I'm thinking of creating a thread (not this thread; I would create a new one) for members to post information about themselves. I know we've had threads like this for specific exchanges, but I thought it would be nice to have an easy-to-use 'master list'. I would reserve the first several posts and then add members' information to the opening posts as they add their information to the thread. Members would be listed alphabetically in the opening posts, by DPF userID, so you could easily check if someone's information is there, without searching through pages of posts.
...so in THIS thread, I'm looking for:
(1) opinions on whether this is a good idea (I'll also add a poll)
(2) suggestions for standard questions ...my first thoughts are first name, main collections, general interests/likes/dislikes, maybe age & gender, 'other' (e.g. if someone lists gluten intolerance, maybe those homemade cookies wouldn't be such a good idea after all)
Side note: argh!!...there's a grammatical error in my poll and I can't edit it...gonna drive me crazy
