Ugh. Worked on a trade via MyPinCentral that was about a month in the making. Sent my pins on Wednesday but when they didn't provide tracking, my spidey senses started tingling. Nothing showed up in my Informed Delivery either. Was going to intercept the package but of all the times for USPS to be efficient, they managed a cross-country delivery in under 2 days. So I'm out. According to MPC admin, this individual has a bunch of "trades" happening and they will now all be warned to intercept packages. For those of us who are out, is there any recourse? I remember seeing a post on FB about someone who was able to recover pins, possibly with police involvement. So just wondering if this has happened to anyone. Did you do anything or chalk it up to an expensive lesson?

To report being scammed after sending something via USPS, first contact the
United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) at uspis.gov to file a report and investigate potential crimes. You can also file a police report and report through an internet scam site too Home Page - Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3)

There is a FB group called PSA: Pin Scam Alerts (Resources, References & Reviews) that you can look someone up to see if anyone else has had problems with them, if you don’t find any info on them you can ask a mod about a certain trader if you have a trade going, they will ask for proof like pics of messages of the trade and post to see if anyone has had problems with them. If you have been scammed you can notify a mod about what happened and again send pics you of proof you have been scammed and they will post it.

Sorry this happened and it’s not fun, a lot of us has been through this and the reason why I only trade on P&P now.

Love the PSA group and definitely looked there first but no history. Since we all had to start somewhere, and not everyone trades on FB, I didn't think too much of it. Have definitely reported them now and thankfully they are now reaching out to everyone else with a pending trade to see if they can at least redirect their package so they're not all out. I was just curious if this amounted to theft or fraud or something like that.

Haven't had too much luck with the P&P Trade Arcades but I understand it's very different if you have a table. I'm really only looking to fill a few gaps left in my collection so that wasn't worth it for me. Guess I'll now try and sell my traders and then buy the remaining pins I'm ISO.

Sorry to hear this happened to you. Definitely sounds like fraud/theft to me. Hopefully some of Fordracing’s insights will be useful to you.
