I think I've managed to get hold of an Ariel Jerry Leigh pin...who is Jerry Leigh?? Are the pins special or rare?

I think I've managed to get hold of an Ariel Jerry Leigh pin...who is Jerry Leigh?? Are the pins special or rare?

Jerry Leigh is a company that makes (or made...there's been some talk lately that they're not doing new releases) officially licensed Disney pins for places like Wal-Mart, hotel shops, and convenience stores, usually near the Disney Parks.

They're usually pretty cheap, retail-wise ($5). Most of them don't get up very high in the secondary market, but some of the princess pins are pretty impressive, art-wise, and getting harder to find. I don't know that I've seen one over $25, though, so nothing super high end. Unless there's one I don't know about that doing scary things...?

To my knowledge, Jerry Leigh is a third party company who periodically does pin designs as well. I've heard that her pins typically aren't sold on Disney property, but usually at places like Target. So I wouldn't say that they're particularly rare, though they do have limited runs I think. Her designs are usually pretty nice! I have a few of the Aladdin ones. :3
