Hi guys!!

Im totally loving DPF and all the things I've learned on here in the short time I've been a member. The one problem I find I've run into though, is that my collection is clearly as amateur as I am and I don't really have trade-worthy pins ( no LE, nothing too fancy) and the pins I do have, no else really wants because they're super easy to get. Hahaha

any advice on how I can try to get out of this rut??

Thanks!!

Slow and steady. This hobby is a marathon, not a sprint. There is nothing wrong with learning and growing at a controlled pace.

Start with booster sets (people always want only 1 pin of the 5 or 8 in the sets). When you can afford to, purchase low LE pins as you see them, even if you don't collect that character, to use as traders. (Especially popular characters/movies like Tangled, Frozen, etc...)

You will get there. Just enjoy the ride.

You never know when someone may be looking for something you have. I thought the same thing, and still do, as my trade arsenal is still fairly small and common. But I have already made a few trades/got some trade offers. Just be diligent about updating your wants and trades, and make some fair offers. All they can say is no :) Good luck!

Interestingly enough, some of our wants/trades match up... wanna check them out and see if there are any trades you'd like to make? (I'm looking at your princess minnie, specifically... ) haha. If not, that's totally fine :)

Yeah, its hard when you first start out, but it'll get easier as you keep going. If you can't get a hold of these popular limited edition pins, you could always try eBay. However, you have be really careful ordering stuff from eBay, because you don't want to receive a fake/ unauthorized/ scrapper pin. Because if you do, then no one is going to want to trade with you  But start off small and slow. Don't go to fast :)

Please beware of sharks!!!!!!
I do not think sharks run in the DPF waters,i love trading with newbies,
so even if I do not have a pin they need or they have one I need
I love to trade with them to help them out and give a ref for them
and shows they are trustworthy to me and to other possible traders or sellers

Ive been collecting since 2008 and compared, I think most would say my collection is sub-par.

But I like to think, its my collection and I love it. Its not a competition. Theres always going to be someone who has more LE, more in general. So dont compare it to others collections, just get what you want to get and when you want to get it no matter how long it takes :)

And the motto "one day my pin will come" ...is like a must :)
